So last winter, I was seeing this girl. She used to tell me she was obsessed with me. She also had a shady ex boyfriend who she would bring up every now and then. She would tell me about how he wanted to reconnect with her, but she would never take him back due to the abusive nature of their relationship. I gave this girl all of me and I trusted her and like, maybe I loved her, I'm not sure.

She would then go on to leave me for that same abusive ex. Despite the constant reassurance she would give me, she still ended up going back to him.

Basically, I've been seeing someone else lately and they have a someone one similar relationship with their last person. Things are not nearly intense between us two as the last one, but I still care about this person and enjoy being in their company. They're planning on meeting up with their former partner this weekend.

I want to trust this person, and even though they don't really owe me their trust seeing as we've only been on like, 3 dates, I can't help but worry that history is destined to repeat itself.

I just don't want to be hurt again. That is all.
