Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.
It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.
no white gay boy will ever reblog this, watch:
no white gay will reblog this
no white lgb person will reblog this
Without Stonewall, without the efforts of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, the LGBTQ Community wouldn’t be where it is today. Don’t forget the roots, don’t forget the catalyst.
and then TERFs wanna be like, “hmm well the LGBT community existed before Stonewall!”
but like…Becky, of course LGBTQ+ people existed before Stonewall. We’ve all existed since the beginning of time. But the movement got a shock to its senses, a jump-start, a rocket-into-space when that glass shattered via Marsha P. Johnson, and when Sylvia Rivera was up on-stage protesting guess who was on the sidelines heckling her?
The same fuckers who won’t ever reblog or acknowledge this
My apologies to the original poster as I photo captured this post to add to the thread-I reposted this last year for pride and expect to repost it every year I have left-it’s our history people.
Marsha P. Johnson allegedly died of suicide in 1992, and her death was never investigated. Even I, a mere prole, could catch the “she was murdered” vibes from the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body.
Without a trans black woman, LGBT+ rights would not exist. Never forget. Never “pay it no mind”.
R E M E M B E R
For the record: Marsha’s body was found floating in the water in NYC, with multiple reports saying she had a hole in her head. There was no evidence of drowning. She had reportedly been seen at three in the morning a few hours earlier saying “they’re after me” or something to that extent.
Marsha P. Johnson was shot and murdered. Never forget her name. Never forget our roots.

New Sonic Movie AMA!
It has been a while, but we have another reddit AMA from one of the people who saw the test screenings.
Unlike last time, the user chose to spoil as little as possible, but there's still a lot of new info, as well as nice confirmations.
Obviously, there is no proof of this being true, you can take it with a grain of salt. Though i personally believe it.
Positives:
- They consider the movie a solid 7/10 and describe it as "2014's TMNT but good"
- The movie has good character development on Tom, Sonic and Robotnik.
- Sonic and Tom have a great relationship, their chemistry is good and their friendship is very believable.
-They consider this relationship the best aspect of the movie.
- There are plenty of references.
- Unlike similar Live Action CGI hybrids (TMNT, Smurfs and Alvin and the chipmunks), the focus remains on Sonic, the main character.
- Sonic is really cute in the movie, he starts off very shy and ankward but as the movie progresses he learns and develops into his loveable cocky self.
- The cinematography is stunning and the action scenes are really good, even if the CGI and effects were unfinished back then.
- There is a great action scene that pays homage to SA2.
- There is also a shot by shot recreation of an iconic SA1 scene.
- When Sonic and Robotnik comes face-to-face for the first time in their lives, the movie takes a second to breathe. It's a really well-done and epic scene that actually gives chills.
- There is aparently an awesome action scene on a highway.
- Ben Schwartz nails his performance as Sonic.
- The movie has plenty of heart and is very wholesome.
- The cast is great and so is the acting.
- It's overall lots of fun.
Negatives:
- The pacing is kinda clunky at the beggining (mostly the events that lead to Sonic being sent to earth), however, it improves significantly throught the movie.
- Some of the serious moments get interrupted by jokes (this is only sometimes)
- The chemistry between Tom and Nan is kind of weird and they didn't interact enough
- The worldbuilding was alright, but it needed more.
- Some gags are a little forced.
- Could have used more action scenes.
Trivia:
- The movie is more of an "Adventure comedy" than "Action Adventure"
- Adam Pally's plays Tom's coworker (Wade Whipple). He has some funny lines and does something very useful for Tom at some point. He's a Cool Dude™
- The "Campfire scene" is listed as a positive (this is the second time an AMA refers to it)
- There is no toilet humor (Patrick Casey actually confirmed this on Twitter a while ago)
- There is, however, a hedgehog mating joke.
- Sonic being able to dodge missiles but not a tranq dart it's not an inconsistency, it's part of his character development.
- There is a very dark scene in the movie.
- The movie ends with a cheesy gag, very 90's (nice!)
- Frank C. Turner's character is indeed named "Crazy Carl"
- Sonic is their favourite character in the movie because of his character development, but Robotnik brings the most laughs (specially through slapstick)
- Tom wife's name is Annie, Nan is her nickname.
- Sonic has does hedgehog things like curling into a ball when he's scared.
- The relationship between Sonic, Tom and Nan is more friendship than found family.
- Sonic does NOT have sex and is not sexualized in any way (I can't believe someone asked this)
- The post credits scene hints at a sequel.
- Robotnik does become a threatening villain, but it takes time.
- Sonic's feet are alluded to, but never shown (thank god!)
- The trailer pretty much undersells the movie and the music choice, while fits what Sonic listens to, doesn't fit the movie at all.
- Sonic does the floss dance inmediately after saying "Is that all you've got?"
- The name "Eggman" is never used.
- Agent Stone is funny and fawns over Robotnik
- There is only one product placement (probably the shoes)
- They actually consider the movie better than Detective Pikachu.
Bonus:
This dialogue is so well delivered and so perfectly captures Sonic and Tails that it left me with a huge grin on my face!
I keep on forgetting that Steeljaw was also on the Lost Light at the same time as Ravage and now all I can think about are their adventures in pursuing various options of ass-hole-itry towards each other. Just…a constant stream of:

O, may I request Some TFP Soundwave Headcanons~?
Yesss, TFP Soundwave~
- Soundwave chooses not to talk, because why waste the energy when it’s more efficient to show people instead of tell? A picture is worth 1,000 words, after all.
- (Though I’ll admit that thinking on it more, it might be interesting of something is wrong with Soundwave’s voicebox, where he can’t talk or talking is very difficult, only allowing him to use the one line we ever hear)
- He has a wonderful sense of humor, but is very subtle with it since the Nemesis isn’t exactly the best place to display his humor. However he loves to peruse the human internet when there’s a lull in work and he can take a breather
- Having access to the entirety of the Nemsis and Space Bridges is a lot of fun for him for the sake of shenanigans. He randomly appears behind other ‘cons to startle them, and watches people embarrass themselves on the camera when they think no one is watching
- He works himself into the ground, forgoing refueling and recharge to get work done sometimes, and actually has to be reminded / forced to take breaks by Megatron or Knockout ‘to ensure that he can continue to function at optimal levels’.
- Part of why he works so hard, besides the fact that he is the most effective at everything he does and the only one capable of it, but also because he wants to be recognized
- He likes affection and attention, but again, the Nemesis isn’t exactly the place to go for either of those things. So he’ll take what he can when he gets praised by Megatron
- I feel like he might actually try to make himself a holoform in secret to be able to learn more about earth and human culture, absolutely fascinated by their knowledge and ingenuity, and the best way to learn more about them is to spend time among them, which he clearly can’t do as a robot
- His holoform never speaks either, and isn’t terribly expressive either, but if you know Soundwave, you know how to read him. Small shifts in his posture, how his eyebrows furrow or his face scrunches up. His holoform also slouches, not terribly but it’s still noticeable. Especially when he stands up straight to be more intimidating, drawing himself up to his full height.

Does necromancy only work on animals? What do you do if you accidentally necromancy a fence and then it starts growing branches?
WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU NECROMANCY A BOTTLE OF SHAMPOO AND IT TURNS INTO AN ENTIRE PILE OF LIMES?
What if I accidentally necromancy a vaccine and then someone gets an armful of very live pathogen?
WHAT’S THE LIMIT ON DEADNESS? HOW RECENTLY DOES SOMETHING HAVE TO BE DEAD? COULD I NECROMANCY A DINOSAUR FOSSIL? WHAT IF I NECROMANCIED THE GROUND AND THEN DINOSAURS STARTED APPEARING?
WHAT IF I NECROMANCIED A LIMESTONE WALL AND IT JUST TURNED INTO A PILE OF MOLLUSCS? WHAT IF I MOLLUSCED A BUILDING? A MOUNTAIN?
Hey OP are you okay

I’ve been rewatching Jack’s Subnautica series over the last month or so and made a felt peeper pin because I love this game so damn much. (I bought the game last year but sadly I don’t have the means to play it and likely won’t for a good long time)
I am extremely happy with how this turned out. I may never leave the house without wearing it.
