Scape currently is in their old body- A Ford revived it!! (And then it got mutated. Dw ab it. On the plus side their body has caught up to their actual age, so they look 16 like theyre supposed to.)

ABOUT !! -

Scape was originally inspired by the page in the Book of Bill with all the alternate versions of Dipper and Mabel that died. I saw ghost Dipper and I was like him trapped in the mindscape, slowly losing his shit out of desperation?? Oh fuck yes, that’d make a kickass au. And here we are, multiple yaps later.

Alternate version of Dipper that's still stuck in the Mindscape-

He goes by Scape! They also use He/They. Prefers they/them more, but still uses he/him occasionally(typically when talking/thinking about themselves in the past tense).

Scape is a Dipper who lost to Bill during the events of Sock Opera. I won’t go into too much detail, because then there isn’t really any fun in talking to them- BUT I would be happy to elaborate if you need me to!

So far, they’ve been in the mindscape for around 4 years(This makes them mentally 16, but visibly and emotionally 12), and they’ve learned a lot of things- Mainly how do all kinds of magic, and how to access the greater Mindscape and use it as a gateway to enter other dimensions’ Mindscapes. During their years in this place, they’ve gotten increasingly more careless on what methods they use to find a way out- Crossing lines they promised they wouldn’t cross, only to set new ones and cross those, too.

Once, in the beginning, he had played guide, putting on a cheerful persona and helping the Dippers he came across via the Mindscape, even sometimes lending his power, like a patron of sorts. To make things easier (since it’s awkward to say your own name), he called those Dippers he helped “Stardust” and requested they refer to him as “Scape” in return. … Kind of like codenames! At first. Over time, the persona he’d crafted started to become a part of him- Not just an act. They’re sooooo mentally well I promise A few identity crises later, and boom!!! Guess what. They’re nonbinary, actually!!! Diversity win!! Whooo!! Anyways, back to suffering~!

Scape began to grow angry and bitter as they watched each Dipp Stardust they helped survive leave Gravity Falls for the summer and continue on with life- Something he never got. Something he’ll never have.

He really didn’t mean to, not at first.

It was just small things. They made comments that more vaguely insulted and mocked Stardust than helped him. For a while, it was just another part of their little persona- Slightly annoying, but still a good idea to keep them around. The worst part is, it made them feel better. It was.. Refreshing! Something different~!

Does it matter if it hurts them, if it makes him feel better? They haven’t felt like this in so long. Happiness.. Is a fickle thing.

Can you blame them, for chasing it?

Anyways, long story short, Scape keeps failing to find a way out of the Mindscape, they end up taking it out on the Dippers they “help”- Before abandoning the pretense of “help” entirely, and start manipulating Stardust for their own gain. Though, sometimes they come across a Dipper about to suffer the same fate they did, and they find themselves helping anyway.

Scape has done a lot of horrible things, but they’re in denial about almost all of them, and repress the worst of what they’ve done. As of the timeline of this blog, they’re on the cusp of unlocking those repressed memories– All at once. All it takes is a few more rejections, a few more failed attempts… And they won’t have enough room to repress it all anymore. LUCKILY FOR THEM, THIS IS A TUMBLR RP!!! It’s up to YOU whether they fucking lose it entirely OR if they get better!!! Aiming for the second one because I kind of made a future Scape blog where they’re very much evil and acknowledge it. So. Kind of would be boring if both of them were evil so!!!! GET THIS CHILD SOME THERAPY!!!!!

“Author. “ (The voice addresses, like a title. It’s.. Hard to tell if it’s supposed to be out of respect, or if that curt tone is negative.) “..Hmm.. The fabric of your dimension is unusually thin! What an interesting anomaly you have here. Have you been damaging it? Punching more holes through with those portals you love so much~?”

Hench slowly closes his journal his eyes scanning the room for the source of the voice. He ignores the tone of voice simply happy to be referred to as something that pertains to his work. "Bill is the main culprit of the current state of my dimension.. although I suppose I can be accredited for it on account of giving him full access to it. No dimension is build to withstand the strain he put it under.. he saw the laws of the universe as suggestions!"

"You can view a dimension as some form of flexible rubber pulled taunt! As unfamiliar forces press against it, it starts straining until tears form! Those tears being rifts. They get worse as time goes on and I unfortunately can't fix them as quickly as I'd like. Any portals I create are hardly of concern in the grand scheme of things."

"Bill wouldn't be entirely wrong to view the laws of the universe that way! After all, whether these laws are 'true' is a matter of perspective, in the end!"

(The voice giggles in response as Hench begun to explain. It sounds familar, somehow.)

"I am not a child, Stanford Pines. I know this already. I would not be talking to you if I didn't!"

What's so familiar about them lays just out of reach of his mind. He clears his throat before continuing "I suppose I shouldn't have been so quick to assume- you'd be surprised how many adults can't grasp the concept."

[the two of them were, luckily, both in the same room. specifically the living room, arguing about whatever the topic.was this time. however, both abruptly stop when SCAPE hugs them both.]

"whoah, there, kiddo! whats wrong?" [STANLEY asks, patting their back.]

"ah, scape?" [FORD pipes up, all too concerned]

(They’re shaking lightly, and their feathers are puffed up. Their entire body is pulled taut, like a rubber band about to snap.

..Scape doesn’t respond, merely hugging tighter, half-choking the both of them.)

[FORD rubs their back.] "dont feel like talking?"

(Their hair looks like a mess, curls wonky and fuzzy.. Did they just wake up?)

(Scape’s voice is quiet but there’s a snap to it, a low curt tone. Whatever happened seemed to shake them to their core. …They’re still not letting go. Sorry Stan.)

(Their grip loosens slightly. Safe, safe safe safe. They’re all safe. Scape leans back slightly, their wings fluttering with the movement to keep them balanced.)

..safe, (They murmur aloud, seemingly on accident. Stars. They care too much!!)

[FORD pats their head, while STAN finally BREATHES.]

(Scape lets go shortly, body slumping with exhaustion. But they still shake lightly even as they crawl onto the couch, the adrenaline still coursing through their body.)

"mind telling me whats got you so worked up?"

(They don’t know. They don’t know and that’s one of the worst parts about it!!)

..something bad happened.

(It’s as best as Scape can describe it. All they have is a jumble of feelings that scream that something happened not too far from Oregon. Something terrible, something huge.

All their magic is squirming uncomfortably, even inside the shell of their body which normally would feel protective, like a suit of armor for their soul.)

"can you describe what happened?"

(Scape just shakes their head, lying down on the couch. Their wings adjust so they don’t pull any feathers when they get back up. Then, as their eyes close and they feel their body attempting to drag them back to sleep, they peel themselves out of their vessel.

Scape quickly casts a spell to make themselves visible, despite being in the mindscape. It doesn’t take much energy, especially after so much practice. They resist the urge to tug at their hair, and instead stretch their arms, still shaking lightly.)

…Felt cramped in there.

(Their face twists into an almost pitying expression, before they seem to remember who they’re talking to, and smooth out their reaction into something more neutral.)

(Scape giggles again. Oh, silly Sailor! They’re so much more than a mere ghost. ..Besides, ghosts can touch objects. They can’t.

..Right, they shouldn’t be thinking about that. They turn their attention to Ford.)

That’s right, Author! …I.. Don’t know how to describe the feeling, though. It just feels bad. Like something awful happened. That’s kind of it..? I don’t know, it was just.. Frightening. …..Made me feel small again.

(Something spikes- Fear, anger, they’re not sure, but it bubbles up in their chest and to their throat. The star beating where their heart should be burns, shining inside their skin.

Their expression twists into a scowl, brows furrowed as they glare down at Ford, and the echo of their voice becomes more prominent as they shout-)

YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE NEAR THAT THING.

"you heard the kid, sixer." [STANLEY mutters.] "dont try to push it. they say its bad news? then its bad news. dont give the kid gray hairs."
