So Muppet The Odyssey wouldn’t be Kermit as Odysseus. Odysseus is a real person, let’s say Oscar Isaac. And then the muppets are the fucking crew so that they can have a joke about Circe turning them into pigs and it pans to an unchanged Miss Piggy. get with the program

respectfully, and while you are correct about the traditional format of Muppet films, but there is one problem: Miss Piggy would definitely be Penelope rather than a member of the crew, which means (in my opinion) that the suitors also all need to be human actors who are Very Seriously trying to woo Miss Piggy, which means we now have no role for Kermit.

Which don't get me wrong would be a nice change from The Greatest Actress Of The Age existing solely in a role as Kermit's love interest, but you can't have a Muppet movie without Kermit

So we now have a very important question to ask: is Kermit Eurilochas, Hermes, or Penelope's Victorian-style butler inexplicably dressed in a modern suit with a bowtie, called Jeeves, whose job it is to keep the suitors distracted with other things so Penelope (Miss Piggy) can run her kingdom while her husband is away and be fabulous?
