I saw this mha characters grid thing going around, so here's mine and I'm not even kidding:
Yeah I know, it's so hard to guess who my favorite character is.
Also overrated character is blank because I have multiple characters I'd put there. Same with favorite ships, i like the majority of Katsuki ships but I have 2 favorites and couldn't pick only one.

The fact that anime onlies who are in early seasons get shocked when you show them how manga Katsuki is drawn, is a proof of some bones staff not treating him nicely in early seasons.
Because I've seen so many ppl saying how much cuter or prettier he looks. Those ugly long necks they used to give him sometimes or over-exaggerated angry faces in scenes that didn't have much anger, still make me shiver😭 (ofc he made ugly faces in manga as well but some of them were way worse in anime and sometimes they added extra ugliness when the scene in the manga wasn't like that at all)
sure they can't replicate hori's art but you know what I mean. Compare them to last seasons and how 1:1 they were. This is why Anna yamaguchi is the goat
since my hero academia is a lost cause with potential, i am obviously obsessed and one of my hyperfixations is the drastically different approach to parenting that mitsuki and inko have that manage to screw up their children in different ways.
mitsuki is obviously heavily criticized but i think people overlook how much of katsuki's love for winning and not appearing to be weak comes from her. like she doesn't settle for less and is horrifyingly harsh about her son, but there's an openness about her that is highlighted by katsuki. her simple 'look you are better than everyone so don't you dare want to be less. you can't be weak because you're strong and the only way to keep on going is by winning so you need to win.' very less like a parent and more like a coach honestly.
contrasting that is inko who's a much more loving and openly affectionate mother. she cares about her son more than anything. but she also has contributed so much to his insecurity. like the first manga chapters literally have izuku saying that's not what I wanted to hear when his mom apologised for him being quirkless. inko wants her son to settle and be happy with what he has because what's the point of shooting for more when the risks are so great? and intentionally or not this carries with izuku to his adulthood after OFA is gone. because at least he had it. the amount of damage it does to izuku to even want more because he should be happy with what he has is stupefying.
Todobaku fic where Shoto and Katsuki have been in a secret situationship since their first year at UA, they both knew being "out" wasn't really an option for them, so they made it work. All without expressing how they really felt for each other.
They officially end it on what seemed like an unimportant day when they're both 19. Katsuki tells Shoto he doesn't want to be a secret anymore, to which Shoto tells him being out isn't an option. They painfully go their separate ways.
Katsuki comes out a year later during an interview, he never explicitly stated it, more so made a comment regarding how his attraction to people doesn't change the fact that he is a damn good hero. Most people take it pretty well. Shoto does not. It was that easy, yet he lost him because of it.
Shoto tries not to interact with Katsuki if he can help it. He avoids social media so he doesn't have to see him, and he moved cities to try and avoid teaming up with him. Hell, he moved his hero agency to avoid the man. This worked for a while, until it didn't.
About 3 and a half years after they ended things, they get put on a mission together. Just the 2 of them.
Just have to keep drawing until u realize u r actually not that bad

On the Way to Meet Mom is a beautiful and touching webtoon that deliberately deconstructs, subverts, and disentangles our notions of family, blood relation, and gender roles, while affirming that everyone is searching for and deserves love and care, whatever that may look like. It does this by telling the story of a young mute orphan boy raised by alien wolves, who ultimately is taken in and nurtured by an assortment of sexless parthenogenetic aliens (including a space outlaw, a cosmic angel-like being, and an AI), who have to win a whole family custody court case to prove that even though they're not technically "human mothers", together as a community they can still fulfill this child's needs. I.e., maybe the real Mom was the friends and protectors we found along the way.
And then I open up a post on the Webtoon subreddit and see people going "I just can't bring myself to call the masc-looking alien Mom, I think the author obviously INTENDED us to call *him* the Dad", "the one with long hair and eyelashes is the Mom and the one with pecs and wide shoulders and short hair is the Dad", "uhh guys I know the Webtoon itself uses they/them for all the aliens in the story but I just can't physically bring myself to use they/them for a character that looks masc to me...I'm only comfortable using they/them for characters that are entirely alien and unhumanoid :/" guys. Please
