From what I believe, I think Deltarune is an alternate universe to Undertale. One where monsters weren't driven underground.

   After thinking it over for a long time, let me get this straight.

   From the looks of things, it would seem that Undertale, the very first game, is essentially part 2 while Deltarune, the sequel, is essentially part 1.

   Oddly, that makes sense especially when there’s alot of Deltarune hints within Undertale in it’s early days and more recently added content.

Yeah, some fans need that reminder. Some fans can’t handle when the canon breaks their precious headcanon. I remember all too well seeing “fans” threaten creators when their OTP wasn’t made canon or sending crew members death threats for other innocuous things (*COUGH COUGH SU COUGH COUGH*). Many fans are lovely people who respect the creator and all iterations made by the fandom. But some can be vile shitheads who go off if someone dares tell them their headcanon’s not gonna happen in canon. Even if it’s the creator themselves.

   ;;ooc: Good point, I had alot of  experiences from that noise and yeah, some fans are bad apples that ruin the bunch even though it’s usually majority of the Undertale fanbase that’s accepting.

   Hopefully, we would have to watch and see.

There seemed to be no rhyme or reason for what Gaster was doing, other than what would happen. It was… confusing.

   The portal close as Paula and Apple Kid left and Abyss explained,”You will come to know soon. Now, follow me.”

   He summoned a portal to the Underground where there was the Skeleton Brother’s house, namely focused on the inside where it is comfortable.

   “Of course, you do need someplace to settle down for a bit and gather your bearings to rest for the time being. I have some preparations to take care of in the meanwhile.”

   Before he does get into his research.

Ness stepped through the portal, looking around. “Well can you at least tell me what exactly you want from me? Why you need me?”

Ness was getting frustrated by this guy’s lack of answers, and was honestly getting kind of anxious at the possibilities…

  “You are much too kind Lemmy.” Abyss nodded with a smile before he patted the Koopa’s head. “..and thank you very much. Perhaps some day..”

  Before long, he wondered for a bit, though..   “…you remind me of my son, Papyrus. If you two were to meet, I’m certain that you would become good friends in time.” he continued.

“Me? Your son? Heheh aww… well, I would love to meet your son someday… if it’s possible! And maybe I can tell him that you’re alright…” Lemmy replied with a smile. 

“Did you live too far away from here?” he asked.

   After that, Abyss left the dream and entered back into the void before the Koopa siblings would be coming into Lemmy’s room upon suspicion due to the eerie static atmosphere..
