It's mind-boggling that Christians don't understand how this argument diminishes their own god. If these shootings are happening because god is "not allowed in schools" (which we all know is bull to begin with), that says one of two things about their god.
He is trying to "teach a lesson" by having 20 children slaughtered because he's pissed off about the lack of school-mandated prayer and bible study. If this is true, then he hasn't changed a bit since drowning everyone back in the old testament, and he's still a malevolent prick who is not worthy or deserving or worship.
He is powerless to stop these massacres because he's not allowed in, as if he needs permission like he's a fucking vampire. If this is the case, he isn't even close to an all powerful deity, and again isn't worthy of worship.
Not to mention the fact that, again, this is all bullshit. First, god is allowed in school. Second, Sandy Hook isn't even the biggest elementary school massacre in this country's history. That would be Bath, Michigan, where a bombing killed 38 children. That was in 1927, well before the "liberal commie agenda" supposedly kicked god out of the schools. What was the excuse then?
As much as I'm used to Christian ignorance by this point, I still can't believe how they keep mindlessly repeating this ridiculous sentiment, and how they actually believe these tragedies would stop if we just "let god back in".
