IidaBaku - Katsuki/Dear (when Katsuki throws tantrum and Iida is just perplexed).

CamieBaku - Bebs (I just have this headcanon where they have a somewhat asexual relationship?? Like they do kissing or cuddling but not interested in pursuing anything further).

MinaBaku - Bebs/Baby/Babe/Love/Cutie/Boo/Bae, etc ('cause Mina probably won't settle for just five nicknames; it's still bottom!Bakugou and they probably have kinkier taste than any other ships above).

Sometimes when Bakugou crashes at Aizawa's apartment for the night, Aizawa will kneel beside the couch where Bakugou lies and massage his arms. When he's finished with one, he'll say, "Turn over," sharp and quick like an order, and Bakugou will roll to free his other arm so easy.

It goes to his head a little. In subtle bursts he doesn't notice. Just a slow build up until he's murmuring demands in the privacy of his own home that Bakugou follows, so obedient and quick with it, something he never is outside this accidental dynamic they've built together.

Kaminari always finds himself staring at Bakugou, and every time it’s always the same, “what do you want?”—to stare at how flawlessly good-looking his boyfriend is. Though, instead he responds like routine, “nothing”. Bakugou knows it’s not nothing, but he crosses his arms and looks away, pretending to not have a clue. A little flush on his cheeks says otherwise, and Kaminari laughs.

It’s not something that’s easy to shake—watching a peer die. Bakugou isn’t even Monoma’s classmate, and Monoma doesn’t even like him, but… They’re both first year hero course students at UA. They fought in a war together.

Monoma watched him die.

Monoma watched him die.

And when Bakugou got back up again only to rush right back into battle, Monoma was fairly certain he would never see him again. He was prepared to hear, after the dust settled, that Bakugou’s heart gave out on him in the midst of his final fight. Because he’d hardly given himself any time to heal. Because he had died.

And if Bakugou could die—

so could anyone else.

(So could Monoma.)

But almost worse than dying young is the impending knowledge that this, living in the aftermath, living with the memories, is forever. Monoma will spend the rest of his life replaying that fight in his head, wishing there was something else he could have done, knowing there wasn’t.

He goes to Bakugou’s hospital room mostly to confirm he’s alive with his own eyes. Because it’s impossible to believe. Even sitting in the room next to him, listening to Bakugou berate him for bothering to come at all, demanding that they aren’t friends, reminding Monoma he hates all of Class A with a burning passion. How can someone be dead and then not?

How can Bakugou be here?

When Monoma says nothing in response, Bakugou’s rant putters out.

He looks away. “We couldn’t have won without you, ya know,” he mumbles.

Monoma huffs out a laugh. It does not come out as loud or as cruel as he wants. “Of course not. You useless Class A idiots would have been nothing without my quirk!”

It rings hollow.

They end up sitting in silence, mostly. Bakugou can’t strain himself, lest he die again, for real, for good. Monoma tells himself he’s being a good Samaritan in neglecting to rile Bakugou up, but really, he’s just—tired.

The war is over.

But survival is forever.
