I have been an accordion aficionado for at least 15 days, and I know a great accordion when one is pointed out to me. The other day I was in the world famous Accordions Canada store and saw an exquisite Internazionale 120 P/M.

The reward that is the accordion
After a fitful decade of accordion exploits, I matured into the natural progression for all players: Jazz.

Another accordion
Many years later, after Ted was forgotten, my uncle came to visit from Polkaland. He brought with him an extremely beautiful specimen. He played that accordion for most of the first evening he visited us, which led to him having to get a hotel for the remainder of his visit.
During his stay, I learned the basics of the accordion and even managed to play a basic tune (Dark Side of the Moon, Side 1). It was an eye-opening time for me, and I decided I would pursue the accordion as my primary instrument.
This led to the 'accordion renaissance' that defined my early twenties, ushering me through clubs, bars and museums as I worked on becoming a better accordion player.
This is Leslie. She plays the accordion.
My first accordion
I got my first accordion when I was just 6 years old. I had asked for a puppy, but instead I found this under the tree.
I named it Ted.
I used to walk Ted around the yard, like I would if I had a dog, even pausing to let it relieve itself at the side of a tree occasionally.
