Most respected among the Vargr – save for each circles’ Jaarls– are the druids, called Pineseers. They serve as healers, advisors, and guides for each circle – called upon by Mundus to make sure that nature is respected and heeded in all things. Unlike most Vargr, they have magical talent, though it’s usually limited to the control of flora and fauna within their region’s local landscape. With the exception of being able to hear the voice of the forest – which occasionally relays to them visions or other guidance. To best harness their abilities, Pineseers cut off their horns as adults and replace them with blessed, wooden prosthetics.
Known to be a bit eccentric, this druid often shrinks his duties to spend his days spying on people or sneaking over to the Talon camp within the woods. Much to his mentor’s chagrin, he’s decided to hang out with the “wrong” crowd and is currently attempting to learn blood magic from one of the Talon member — a strange jester. The pair are nigh inseparable, best friends and often waste hours “pranking” unwitting travelers during the daylight hours.
Of late, these pranks have turned a bit more bloody, often at the jester’s prodding. But it’s all harmless fun, right?
