please go to “General Settings” then to “Dashboard Preferences” and turn off “Best Stuff First”. This is killing artist exposure! Please, please, PLEASE, turn it off if you really do love the artists you follow! You’d be helping us so much! Please reblog this so that more people may know!

Artists and writers are losing a lot of exposure over this new feature. Someone recently posted a photo of their notes over the last month and there was a HUGE difference from before the “Best Stuff First” feature and after.

The things many people create on this site is getting buried. Some is commissions but a LOT of content is done for free. Changing your settings does help them, but it also helps YOU still find the things/ blogs you enjoy. If you want to actively help, hit the reblog button if you enjoy something.

on the one hand this is a joke post because lol i have never made a good post in my life, but also, if i hadn’t made the connection between this update and my sudden nosedive in activity, i would have been really fucking discouraged about all the shit i’ve been working on lately. i guarantee there are people on tumblr right now who haven’t made that connection, and who are trying to figure out why suddenly no one likes anything they’ve made. and that fucking sucks.

Reminder to go into your settings and turn off ‘Best Stuff First’ because my activity’s tanked a couple days ago for no reason so this stuff IS happening.

I wonder if one of the causes of animosity towards “entitled millennials” is that many millennials are poor people who look rich. There’s this growing class of people who wear nice clothes, have fancy new electronic gadgets, go out to eat nice food… and will never own a home or have a retirement fund or put a child through college.

It’s so easy to say “if you cut down on the avocado toast maybe you could save up”, and so hard to accept that a house these days is fifty thousand avocado toasts, and that’s why so many of us have just given up. We don’t treat ourselves because we think the world will take care of us when we get older; we treat ourselves because we know it won’t. Might as well feel and look good on the way down.

I think you’re absolutely right. And what compounds this image is the fact that fancy new gadgets and nice looking clothes and elevated toast ARE all relatively cheap compared to how they look. The cost of things has gone way down while the price of property has skyrocketed. I can buy a full outfit, a phone case with an external charger embedded, and lunch at a local business for under $50 total, but then I’ll walk home to my apartment because I can’t afford a car payment or a mortgage.

Mattress surfing

Okay so in Princess Diaries 2, Mia goes mattress surfing down the staircase, well im pretty sure the batfamily would do that. Like c'mon they got to have a giant staircase in the manor. -It would be a day Alfred is out so they won’t get in trouble. -Stephanie saw the movie and had been dying to do it so she recommended it. - There are plenty of mattresses anyways. - Dick going into a handstand once while on it. Another time he did a flip onto to it. - Damian actually smiled. He might call it stupid but boy did he enjoy it. - Harper goes down with Cass the first time and then tries to figure out how to make it go faster. - Tim being the one who falls off the mattress half way down the stairs. - Jason getting a running start then hopping on. - While waiting his turn, Duke has his Snapchat going as everyone goes down the staircase. He also figures the easiest way to carry the mattress. -Barbara is pumped. She’s secretly been wanting to do this. Totally cuts Dick in line. Oldest first right. - Cass is a natural. Never falling down once. - Bruce coming home and stares at all of them and just walks away. Nothing new to him.
