Some more Ace Attorney Big Bang questions answered
Question 1: How’s the second round of matching going? Have I been matched yet? Do I have any new team members?
Answer: Apologies for the delay. Second matching was supposed to be up already but this has been going slowly. Things are a bit more complicated now most teams are full. Out of 11 people in this round, only three have so far been successfully matched. I’ll keep on working at this.
Q2: My writer isn’t responding to my messages. Have you heard anything? I’m worried they’ve dropped out.
The first deadline for fics is next Wednesday, July 1, when writers are supposed to have their fics halfway done, with a suggested sample of 1,000 words. There will be a post on DW where writers can leave a comment and check in to show they’re still participating (they can also check in through tumblr or email).

Writers who haven’t responded after a month, by the end of July, will be assumed to have dropped out.
Writers, don’t worry if you’re not at halfway stage yet. The main thing is to demonstrate that you’re still taking part in the Big Bang.
We’ve have had one writer tell us they’re dropping out so far (dagbok) and one artist (andrillian). It’s sad to see them go, but it was really nice of them to tell us directly. Dagbok’s team members have already been contacted about potential re-matching.
Q3: I’m worried my team members have dropped out as I haven’t heard from them in a while.
If this leaves an urgent hole in your team (like a beta when you’re close to finishing your fic, or all your cheerleaders) then tell me and I’ll try to fill it.
If it’s your second cheerleader, for instance, then that’s what the doubling up of matching roles was for. There were always going to be some drop outs.
Bear in mind that this can be a very busy time of year for some people. In the UK it’s still exam season, and in other places people may be on the move after their academic year has finished or are going on to jobs. Many who aren’t in contact may reappear later during summer.
Q4: When is the new artists’ post going up including the newly signed up artists?
This has been delayed along with the second round of matchings.
Q5: I’m 16, yet you matched me with a fic rated M!
These are how our fic ratings work.
Contact me if you’re unhappy about your matching in any way and I’ll try to re-match you, although it may be difficult at this stage.
Q6: You matched me, but I don’t like any of my matchings because I forgot to tell you something important on my preference form.
Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Several people have have to change their forms. It’s almost impossible to remember everything at once.
Unless I’ve already suggested another alternative team to you that you like the look of, it’s usually simpler just to submit a brand new fic preference form and I’ll match you again from that.
Good luck with your Big Bang activities everyone!
