i love thinking about ilya doing nice things for shane and actually getting thanks and gratitude for it and being able to see the joy he brings. he gave so much to his shitty family and all they ever did was abuse him and demand more. he’s used to sending people eye watering amounts of money and getting called a slur in return. and now he gets to buy shane tiny stupid gifts and say ‘i saw this and thought of you’ and see shane be so touched he does his big ol smile and gets wet eyes. he gets to send him a video of two cats snuggling and caption it ‘me n you’ when they’re apart and get an ‘i love you ❤️’ back. he gets to do all the little accommodating things for shane like keeping the lights low when he’s feeling overstimulated and at the end of the day shane kisses his forehead and very sincerely tells him that he makes everything easier and that shane is lucky to have him and doesn’t know what he’d do without him (ilya says he’ll never need to know)

and none of it’s a chore. what a privilege to know you well enough to do nice things for you. what a privilege to be able to love you in so many different ways. i’m used to doing so much more for so much less. i want to take care of you forever

The funniest part about the zukka stuff is that we never expected anything to be canon. It’s basically been like 20 years since the original show. They killed Sokka in Korra, so like we’ve all just been playing with our dolls, having fun, with no worries about the canon material, and then boom, here’s free cake, you weird little guys, because there was a leak. That leak just came with free yaoi subtext that you didn’t even want or need. Truly it’s great but also we’re all freaking out cause no one expected them to give us anything never mind free cake.
