(After the doorbell rings Vera gets up to go to the door, confused as to why someone is at their door at midnight, but when they look out the door they recognize their guest instantly)
Vera: Trinity? What's going on? What are you doing here... and this late.
(Vera pulls Trinity into a hug)
Trinity: (gasping for air, shaking in Vera's arms), mom... dad... I didn't know where else to go.
Vera: Let me get you inside.
Vera: Pace, can you wake up? I need to talk to you about something.
Pace: Is everything okay?
Vera: Trinity needs my help. Something clearly happened at home causing her to run away here. I can't just leave her Pace, she's my sister, and I have to help her. She can't go back to our parents or be homeless.
Pace: Are you suggesting she stay her?
Vera: Yes... I know we basically have a full house. But she can stay in our guest room. I know it would be a hard ajustmeant, but-
Pace: She can stay. I mean she came here bleeding and with bruises, we can't leave someone like that on the streets. And she's family.
Vera: I think our parents is the reason behind her injuries. I never thought they would hurt her, I thought she was safe.
Despite the family's guest Pace ends up going to work and he solves another case.
Trinity ends up sleeping all day, and Gacy looks over her.
Thankfully now that Trinity is here our household is full meaning Pace won't get pregnant.
Trinity finally comes out of her room after a few days, and Vera sits her down to talk.
Vera: Are you ready to talk to me about what happened?
Trinity: I got a girlfriend.
Trinity: And mom and dad found out.
Trinity: I managed to hide it... hide parts of myself so they could pay for my med school, even after I finished it I wasn't going to tell them. I knew what they would do. I mean I knew what they did to you. Hurt you. Kicked you out, I didn't want to go through that, but then they found out and weren't happy.
Vera: I never thought they would go after you.
Trinity: Because you thought I was straight? You thought I was their version of a perfect daughter.
Vera: Yeah... look Trinity, I talked to Pace and you can stay here as long as you need. I won't let you be homeless. You can stay until you earn enough money to move out and start your own life.
Trinity spends some time talking with her niece and nephew.
Lisa has been working very hard at school and is spending lunch in her business class. But she joins the debate club in hopes of making new friends. She also had career day and is thinking about what she wants for her future but doesn't find any of the jobs appealing.
Trinity is really trying to get to know everyone in the house, and is thanking Pace for letting her stay.
Norex has probably been the most successful when it comes to infant milestones and now toddler skills.
(Side note: I absolutely hate how buggy the Detective career can be)
