Im looking at this from a game dev standpoint as someone who is both studying and going into game development [and has created a good handful of their own games]
A destiny 3 would not only be crazy expensive to make but it would also take a huge chunk of both teams from bungie [D2 & Marathon team] AND PlayStation's team allocated to bungie's ip's. Games are expensive and time consuming to create. Those funds need to come out from somewhere, and knowing sony/PlayStation and current monetization + the game not meeting PlayStations income prediction in the last financial year. Its highly doubtful on that end.
