Chapter 4 spoilers below!

A lot of people have been saying that Sans and Toriel are neglectful and aren’t considerate of Kris and Susie. However, they are only having a good time, and they are both under the impression that Hometown is crime-free place and that they are safe. I feel like if Toriel always worried about Kris, then that would mean she doesn’t trust Kris to take care of themselves.

Toriel invited Susie to stay the night and she was one of the few who saw Susie for how she truly was and gave her hope, and I feel like Sans thought it was best if Susie had time alone to process whatever she was going through. Sans even invited Kris to join them.

They were both just enjoying themselves as they share a lot in common. Toriel mentioned before that it’s been quiet since Asriel and Asgore are gone, but now she found someone to share her love of puns and her goofy shenanigans.

Although, Sans did eat Kris’s butterscotch pancakes, which is pure evil. Not even the knight is THAT evil.

I’m coming for my revenge, Sans… in 2026

Chapter 4 ending and secret boss spoilers below!

Can’t believe we got Soriel, and so much of it! They apparently spent all evening and all night partying and telling jokes LMAO. I remember the lights were on in the store and the sign said closed, and Toriel wasn’t in the house when it was raining. I didn’t imagine they were hanging out the entire time!

Also Gerson had mentioned chapter 5 including purple and pink flowers and a field being charred by an inferno of loneliness. If that is foreshadowing a Flower King dark world centering around Asgore, does that mean Asgore will find out Sans and Toriel hung out or see them hang out and get jealous? So does that mean there will be soriel in chapter 5 too?

Sans: does comedy in front of a crowd in mtt resort, lives in Snowdin where there are a lot of people who love telling jokes, probably tells jokes to everyone at Grillby’s, the KING OF THE UNDERGROUND shows up to one of his comedy shows and nearly dies laughing which causes the curtains to close

Also Sans: he considers the mysterious lady behind the door as his best audience

If Toby keeps giving us more Sans and Toriel moments, I am going to ascend to another plane of existence. Especially if we get to see them interact at the festival 👀👀👀

I dunno, I just sorta hope Toby recreates more Sans and Toriel shenanigans into Deltarune that are just like in the Winter Dialogue.

Despite only knowing each for only a few days and only talked like two times before, Sans and Toriel both still get along very well.

I can’t wait to see more Sans and Toriel moments in future chapters, and we may even get some Sans and Toriel dialogue at the festival. May not happen, but here’s to hoping 🤞

Maybe we’d see some Sans and Toriel moments outside of the grocery store in chapters 3-5, but I feel Toby most likely will add some sort of dialogue between the puntastic duo.

A Soriel headcanon I always had is that at any get-together where everyone meets up, Sans and Toriel are always doing something separately. No matter what they’re all doing or where they’re at, those two are always. goofing. off. And everyone sort of… expects it??? Idk but like everyone’s like “there they go again”

One minute everything is normal. Everyone is enjoying themselves. Then out of nowhere, Sans pranks Toriel and they proceed to try and get revenge on each other trying to top the previous prank

It doesn’t even have to be pranks, they could just disappear from the crowd and start blurting out puns, unaware of how loud they are being, losing track of time. I’m sure if they wanted to, they’d be outside for hours sharing puns about stars and whatnot.

They’d still hang with the others, but then out of nowhere they’re making jokes about leaves or something completely random for a long period of time as the others are doing something else. Sorta like the winter dialogue where they were just goofing off with the hockey sticks, they’d take whatever everyone else is doing and just good around with each other.

But if either Sans or Toriel isn’t able to come to a group get-together, they’d send the other pictures followed by puns.

So I am a beginner writer who hasn’t been writing for long and I want some writing prompts so I could get more experience writing different situations and become better at writing.

If you have a prompt idea that you want me to write about, feel free to send me a message on the prompt. I’ll try my best to get to it, but expect some delay because I’ve been busy lately or if there are a lot of prompts given.
