pluviophile
(noun) A pluviophile is defined as a lover of the rain. They revel in the smell of the wet streets and grass, the sound of raindrops hitting the window, and the scenery of the sky. They find the grayness of the sky and the atmosphere both peaceful and beautiful. (via wordsnquotes)
person: hey what should we name this flower
second, much creepier person: baby's breath
We are all influenced by literature, by various teachers that have been before, all those are part of our consciousness. And when we live within that consciousness there is nothing new. It is like a man who has read a great deal. Personally I used to know somebody who used to have, he could talk about any subject on earth, Eastern philosophy, Western, anything you want. So one day we were talking, he says to me that with all this knowledge I have, I probably can never experience something original. There is the tragedy.

“Sit as little as possible. Do not believe any idea that was not conceived while moving around outside. Sitting down is a true sin against the Holy Spirit.”

Day: 1564 Shirt: Dum Dum Girls - Too True Color: Black Brand: American Apparel Source: (10/23) I was reminded yesterday about how much I enjoyed this band and how they first really sealed the deal with their cover of “there’s a light..” By the Smiths. Really the quickest way to my heart.
Day: 1568 Shirt: Beach Slang - Bored Kids Color: White Brand: Tultex Source: (10/27) every once in a while. It’s not often but it happens new bands release music that I really fall in love with. It’s not that I don’t like new music cause I do, but I’m saying new music that gives you that feeling you once had has a kid when you put on Jawbreaker or Fugazi for the first time. It just makes you feel. Beach Slang put out an EP last year that I dug but this new release on @polyvinylrecords really sealed the deal for me. “the Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us” is a slam jam dunk sandwich and the companion covers EP with a Ride Cover is the cherry on top. Great music, excellent artwork makes getting up in the day worth it. @mattlunsford + @beachslang 👌🏽👍🏼👏🏻💥. Only question is why isn’t that cover art on a shirt?? Get at me I’ll make you one 😁
There are times in life when people must know when not to let go. Balloons are designed to teach small children this.

Our social and religious structure is based on the urge to become something, positively or negatively. Such a process is the very nourishment of the ego.

Many people believe that memory works like a recording device. You just record the information, then you call it up and play it back when you want to answer questions or identify images. But decades of work in psychology has shown that this just isn’t true. Our memories are constructive. They’re reconstructive. Memory works a little bit more like a Wikipedia page: You can go in there and change it, but so can other people.
Elizabeth Loftus (via fyp-psychology)
If you really understand that you are not here to be taught by anyone, that there is no teacher to teach you, no savior to save you, no guru to tell you what to do - if you really understand this fact, then you have to do everything for yourself; and that demands tremendous energy.
