Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz are the Green Lanterns of space sector 2814 which includes Earth. The Rebirth volume of Green Lantern started off slow and uneven. I hated Jessica. She was just so damn whiny. I wanted to like the title and I was settling for disappointment. Simon Baz was a character that had become a favorite of mine but in this title Simon spent most of his time trying to calm and coddle Jessica. The title just passed 30 issues and it has found its way. The characters have been developed. They are partners. They have flaws BUT those flaws don’t overwhelm them. Green Lanterns is in my top 10 favorite DC titles right now. It took some time but the creative team has brought the elements together and made this team top notch.
