You knew this was coming. I have drawn Jud from Wake Up Dead Man. Reference under the cut.

Really fun drawing, with fun new challenges like how do I add enough dirt to this man (I still think my version looks remarkably clean). As usual this digital painting relied heavily on drawing directly over the reference photo and using some photo editing techniques to get everything the way I wanted it.

Oops I have done it a second time. Marta from Knives Out, my beloved. Screenshot reference under the cut.

As usual the final digital painting is a combination of drawing over the screenshot, using photo editing techniques, and my own random drawing stuff. Interestingly because Knives Out is on Amazon I couldn't go off a high quality screenshot like I did with the Glass Onion painting I did earlier, so it was a bit of a different process. Still hugely fun though!

I am once again not totally happy with the colors in the final image (and that harsh line on the shadow on her cheek is driving me crazy) but I'm pretty pleased with it overall. Now I need to sit on the couch and rest my back after hunching over a drawing tablet ;_;

Rewatched Glass Onion and wanted to do a screenshot paintover. Tumblr has as usual murdered the quality. I promise there's more detail in there you can't see ;_;

As usual my screenshot paintovers rely heavily on referencing the original image and even tracing portions. The final picture is an unholy mixture of digital painting and elaborate photo editing.

We're reaching the end of the journal, there's only the other side of this endpaper left. You can really see the strain on the binding here, where all that stitching is exposed. That's not the fault of the bookbinder, it's the result of over-stuffing this book so much. I learned my lesson using a traditionally-bound book for this!
