I don't have a title picked out for this one quite yet. But for right now we are gonna call it Ur Best Friend.

I'm sorry I haven't been active, I've been so busy with school and dance, my life has been hectic. I'm really trying to write again it's just I want to give y'all the best. I want to sit down and actually write something worthy enough for y'all. I really appreciate all the support and love I get from you guys. I hope you enjoy this.

“Babe, you ready?” Your boyfriend Josh asked as he walked into your bathroom. “Yeah, I just help with my necklace.” You say as you gesture for him to come over. “You look so good, my love.” He said as he kissed your neck before stopping staring at the necklace. “Who bought you this?” He said as he put it on. “Um…. Shuri did. Riri picked it out for her. Why do you ask?” You said turning around to face him. “It's just a little weird because they’re my best friend and coworkers. He said as he walked toward the kitchen. “Josh....Shuri, Riri, and I have been friends for 6 months now.” You said as you raised your voice. “Honey, I get that, but y’all are always together. Y’all are all over each other all the time. I just don’t think it was very appropriate.” Josh said as he started to grab the keys. “Josh, girls are gonna be touchy, that’s just how we are. I also hang out with them all the time because you never have time. So, are you saying you’re jealous? They're dating each other Josh.” You said annoyed. “No, it's not that it's just- Never mind, we’ll talk about it later. He said as he exited the door. You rolled your eyes as you exited the house.

As your boyfriend drove you started to think about what he said. You can’t deny, you have a slight crush on both of them, but he doesn’t need to know that. The way they carry themselves and the way they treated you, just made you slowly fall for them. I wonder if they’re gonna be there tonight. You thought as your boyfriend pulled up to his coworkers' house. “We’re here, babe.” He said as pulled into their driveway. “Time to put on our fake smiles, and “I’m better than you” demeanors.” You said with air quotes. “Babe!” Josh said while laughing. “I’m just saying josh, they honestly don’t like us. Why did they even invite you?” You said as you exited the car. “No idea, but free food right?” He said with a shrug. You chuckled while knocking on the door.

“Y/N Josh, how are you two?” Josh’s coworkers asked as she answer the door. “Michelle, it’s so pleasant to see you.” You said with a forced smile. I can’t stand you, bitch. You started to take off your shoes as you entered her house. “You have such a lovely house, Michelle. You should invite us over more often.” You said with a smile. “Oh well, I’ll have to plan more parties.” She said while showing where the rest of her guests were. As you walked into the room, your face lit up when you saw Shuri and Riri. They look so good, oh my gosh. Shuri was wearing a blue button-up, and brown pants, with new balances. While Riri was wearing a black crop top with flare arms, white pants, and white Jordans. As you walked over to them, Riri stood up from her girlfriend's lap to hug you. “Y/N honey, you look amazing. She said while hugging you. You wearing a white crop-top wife beater, beige cargo, with brown Jordans. “Thank you, darling.” You say as she pulls away. “Shuri, how are you?” You asked as she stood up. “Why are we acting like we haven’t seen each in months? We saw each other last week.” Shuri said as she pulled into a tight hug. “Oh, shut up.” You said as y’all laughed. “Well the party is about to start, we’re just waiting for everyone to show up.” Michelle said.

As you dance with your boyfriend, you locked eyes with Riri as she danced with Shuri. She gave you a quick wink before whispering something in her girlfriend's ear. Shuri looked up at you after and smirked. You quickly looked away trying not to make it obvious how nervous they make you. I have a loving boyfriend. Who cares for me, treats me like a queen, and loves me. Stop thinking of them in any other way than friends. You peek back over at them and Riri gestures for you to follow them. “Babe, I’m gonna go get some air for a little.” You said as you turned around to face your boyfriend. “Ok, want me to come with you?” He asked. “No, you have fun with your friends.” You said as you pulled out your phone to check yourself. “Ok, text me if you need me.” He said as you walked off.

You made sure to take your time making your way outside to continue to fix yourself. How does my makeup look? You thought as you started to reapply your perfume. Gotta smell good. Now for my makeup. You begin re-applying lip gloss before you stop thinking: Why am I stressing over my looks for them? We're just friends... You excited the back door to find them chatting on the porch. “Now, why did y'all call me out here?” You say as you walked to them. “We wanted to talk to you, sithandwa .” Shuri says glancing at you over her shoulder. “And that party blows!” Riri said chuckling. “Oh, well what's up?” You say leaning on the rail. “You need to stop looking at us like that, ma.” Riri said turning to face you fully. “What do you mean?” You say giggling quietly. “Don’t act naive Y/N. We can't be doing this, you have a boyfriend. Isn't that right Y/N?” Shuri said looking at you with low eyes. “I-” “It's ok, we already know the answer.” Riri says cutting you off. Why are they acting like this out of nowhere? They are never this direct about it. “Hey, Y/N, why don't we have one of our “famous” sleepovers, yeah?” Shuri says walking toward the entrance. You look at Riri who started to follow after Shuri chuckling. I can't do this. This is wrong. I love Josh....its just...them. Why me? Why can't they be their best friend?

You hum along with the song as you finish getting ready for class. It’s been two days since Shuri texted you and you haven’t dared to answer. Every time you open your phone all you see is her notification, drawing you in to respond, to fold for them, and be with them. You don’t even know these girls, but you can’t help thinking of them. The way they carry themselves is so drawing to you. It’s 10, I need to leave. You look in the mirror one last time just in case your outfit needs any fixing. You were wearing a black long sleeved crop top with flared denim jeans, along with black air forces and a wide belt.

As you walked to class you decide to text Kahliya and Kamryn.

“Excuse me, is this the differentials equations class?” You say as you peek your head into the classroom. “Yes ma’am!” The teacher responded. “Could I get your name?” The teacher asked. “Oh yes. It’s Y/N ma’am.” You said as you took a seat. “Well class doesn’t start till 10:45, so I’m going to go use the restroom. I will be right back.” The teacher said as she left the class. You decide to put in your AirPods and take a quick nap when you feel someone slid into the seat next to you.

“Hey, babe!” Your eyes shoot open as you looked at the person next to you. It was Riri looking you up and down drinking in your skin. “Hi.” You say softly as you look at her outfit.

“So why didn’t you leave with us at the party?” Riri said tilting her head to the side. Your eyes grew big. “What?” You asked trying to avoid her eyes. “I said, Why didn’t you come with us?” She said while quickly glancing at your lips. “I don’t understand.” You said with a nervous smile. “Y/N, my girlfriend told me you she saw you starting to follow us out the party. She also texted you, and now it’s like you are avoiding us.” She said with a knowing look.

“I’m not avoiding y-“ “Ok class, please turn your books to page 435. Y/N, here is your book.” The teacher said signaling you to come and get it. You quickly got up from your seat to get away from the conversation. With a quick thank you, you take your book and walk back to your seat. As you got closer to your seat Riri slipped a note on top of your desk. She glanced at it with a slight grin. When you sat down you read it and quickly turned to her. We aren’t done with this conversation Y/N. She looked at you with knowing eyes as you turned back around slightly panicking.

“Ok class, that will be it for today. Remember that office hours are canceled this week. Y/N, can I see you before you leave?” The teacher said as she packed up her things. “How was class today? I know it was the first lesson and I want to make sure you understand everything.” The teacher said with a smile. “Oh, I could understand the lesson today, I'm just having trouble with the ones I wasn’t here for.” You said. “Oh well, there’s a student in this class that has a perfect 100. Her name is Riri. I believe she sits next to you in class. I can give you her email if you need some help.” The teacher said as you two started to walk out of the classroom. “Oh I’m fine, I can get it myself.” You said with a nervous smile. “Alright Y/N, have a good day.” The teacher said walking off. “You too.” You said smiling.

As you started to walk to mess hall, you see Riri at the end. You turned around quickly but not quickly enough before she called your name. “Y/N, come here.” She said as she walked behind you. You don’t know why but something made you stop. You slowly turn around trying not to look her in the eyes. “Yes?” You said hesitatingly. “I told you we weren’t done talking. Let’s go to lunch, my treat.” She said as she caught up to you. “Where are you going? The mess hall is this way.” You said confused. “Just come on Y/N.” Riri said as walked away.

“Get in, I’ll drive.” Riri said as she unlocked her car. Where the heck is she taking me? The car ride was quiet until Riri’s kimoyo bead lit up. “Answer Griot. Hey, babe, we’re there.” Riri said as she glanced at me. “Ok, I’m already here. Let me know when you get here.” Shuri said. “Alright my love I will. Bye.” Riri said with a small smile. “Bye baby.” Shuri said ending the call. “She’s gonna be there too?” You said turning completely to her. “Yeah, she’s the one who said let’s go to lunch.” Riri said with a chuckle. “Why didn’t you tell me before.” You said. “Because I knew you weren’t gonna come if both of us were there.” Riri said pulling up to the restaurant.

“Ready?” Riri said as she started to get out of the car. “Not really?” You said hesitating to open the door. Riri leaned her head back in the car. “Are you nervous?” She says with a smirk. You nod quickly. “Oh come on Y/N, we don’t bite.” Riri said with a chuckle. “Unless you want us to.” She said with a smirk looking you in the eyes. “Exactly, why I’m nervous.” You said walking into the restaurant. “It’s ok, it’s just lunch.” Riri said as she slipped her hand on your lower back guiding you in. You both are greeted by The Dora Milaje. Why are they doing all of this? The restaurants, the names, the looks it’s all too much.

As you walk in Riri removed her hand from your back to walk up to Shuri. The loss of her touch makes you shiver a bit. “Shuri!” Riri said as she hugs her. “Molo sithandwa sam.”she said hugging her. You meet eyes with her as she hugged Riri. “Y/N, how are you?” She said as she gestured to a seat next to hers. I still can’t get over her accent. The way she says my name…Lord take me now. “I’m great, thank you for inviting me.” You said awkwardly. “Of course, we just want to get to know you more.” Shuri said as she flagged down the waiter. “We’ll take a bottle of Chateau D’Esclans Rose, thank you.” Shuri said before turning back to you. “Ok, before we get started, we wanna apologize for staring at you at the party.” Shuri said as Riri nodded agreeing. “It’s fine, I didn’t mind. I was just confused.” You said reassuring them. “So, I hate to ask, but why haven’t you answered our text?” Shuri asked leaning into her hands on the table.

“I-um.” You stuttered as you tried to make up a lie. “She’s been trying to avoid us.” Riri chuckled. “I haven’t, I’m just confused about why you both seem to be interested in me all of a sudden.” You said as the waiter poured your glass. “Thank you.” You whisper. “Well, Riri was the first to take an interest in you.” Shuri said as she gestured toward Riri, who winked. “I saw you in the painting studio one day and I had to tell Shuri about you.” Riri said with a smile. “And I definitely saw why.” Shuri said nodding toward you, making you get butterflies. “So, the date we had there was for me to actually get to see you.” She said as she sipped her wine. “We’ve never considered adding someone to this relationship, but when I saw you I couldn’t help but humor the idea.” Riri said as Shuri nodded.

“I um-“ You said, but Shuri cut you off. “You don’t have to answer right now, but just consider it.” Shuri said as she waved the waiter over. “We know this is all sudden, but we really like you, Y/N.” Riri said grabbing your hand. You sat in silence as you listend to what Riri and Shuri had to say. I don’t really have to consider it. I like them. But this is so different. Going out with the two of them huh? “Yes.” You say almost instantly after Riri finished. “Yes?” Shuri questioned. “Yes, however I would like to take things slow. I’ve never done this, so I’ll need time to figure out how this goes.” You say with a shy smile. “Oh don’t worry. We’ll take good care of you Y/N.” Riri says with a wink as Shuri nods with a smirk.

Ok so here's the prompt: Riri and Shuri are best friends with your boyfriend but things are getting rocky so you start hanging with them as friends but as time goes on you start to develop feelings for each other. “Are you sure you have everything?” Oj asked as he watched Emerald scurrying around her room. “Yeah……? I think?” Emerald said timidly. “Em!” Oj he said concerned. “If I need anything I’ll just buy it. I gotta gooooo!” She said as she quickly slipped passed Oj. Running down the stairs into the kitchen, grabbing any snacks she could find. She stops when she sees a picture of her father. Swallowing hard she grabs the photo and stuffs it in her tote. For good luck.

“Do you even have enough money? You’re gonna be gone for almost a month.” Oj exclaimed still looking concerned. “I’ll be fine, and besides this gig is bringing in some dough!” She said with amusement. Oj rolled his eyes and shook his head. “Be Careful!” Oj said following her as she ran out the door. “Oj, it’s not like I’m leaving the country! I’m only going to LA. It’s like an hour away.” She said getting in her car.

“Ok…..take this.” He says as he pulls out three hundred dollar bills. “Before you decline, just take it. It will make me feel better that you have at least something in your pocket.” He says looking away. “Oj-“ “Nope, I’m not taking it back” Oj says as he turns around. “Oj-“ Em shouted. “I love you, sis, be careful.” Oj says as he walks up the stairs. “Love you too.” Em shouts out the window as she drives off. “Lord let this gig be something.” Oj said to himself.

“Ain’t nobody dope as me…. I’m just so fresh, so clean!”

“So fresh and so clean, clean!” Em shouted as she pulled up to her Airbnb. Damn, this is nice. After a long and deep sigh, she said “Ok, here we go.” She started taking out her luggage and walked in. After some time her stomach started to growl and ache. “Damn, I’m hungry. I’m pretty sure there’s a market down the street I saw.” She said as she grabbed her keys.

Y/N’s POV

“Carrots, milk, meat, water, chips, and fruit.” You said to yourself as you walked into the store. As you scanned through the aisles, you decided to get your chips first. Here we go, Salt and Vinegar. Ohhh they have butter pretzels! As you were trying to decide on which chips to buy, a girl comes down the aisle humming which sounded like Family’s Ties. “Jumpin' in that-...Summon that bitch” The girl sang softly as scanned the aisle for cookies. She noticed you were lost in thought and said “Just get both, baby!” The girl said. “What?” You said turning around with a questioning look.

The girl was leaning on the basket looking you up and down with a sly smile. She was wearing high-waisted jean shorts with a Chicago button-up jersey. Couldn’t deny it, but she was kinda fine. You thought. “I said, just get both, baby.” She exclaimed chuckling. “Oh….OH!” You said laughing finally understanding. “Oh trust me I will.” You said as you placed the bags in your basket. You both stare at each for a couple of seconds before you smile. “Well have a good day!” You say as you walked off. “You too!” The girl said watching you walk away.

You smile to yourself feeling butterflies in your stomach. Ok, where’s the milk? You think as you continue shopping. As you clear your list you noticed you haven’t gotten your fruits. Hmmm, I kinda want grapefruit and strawberries. You thought as you walked toward the produce section. While browsing through the different grapefruits the girl from earlier walked up next to you, and took the grapefruit out of your hand. She started to check to see if it was good. “Definitely take this one! It’s perfect. It’s sweet, juicy, and plump.” She said slowly while looking at you with low eyes. Your eyes grew big and your thoughts ran wild. Gosh, the things I’d let her do to m-… No Y/N, you don’t even know this girl!

“I-I-“ You say as you tried to find the words to say. “I hope to see you again, beautiful! The names Emerald by the way!” The girl said before placing the fruit in your cart. “And I wasn’t just describing the fruit.” She whispered close to your ear, your knees getting weak. “See ya, babe!” She said before walking off. A chill ran down your body sending it straight to your…Nope, Nope we don’t know them. You cleared your thoughts before going to check out.

Emerald’s POV

“Mark, you know I can’t go. I have to start shooting tomorrow and I have to be there super early.” She said to her friend on the phone. “Oh come on, Em! It’s your first night in LA, and I want it to be special!” Mark exclaimed with pleading eyes. “Mark-“ Emerald started. “Only for like two hours maybe three. And hey, you might meet someone.” Mark said laughing. “I’m only here for business, but two hours wouldn’t hurt.” Emerald said as Mark smiled. “Yes, I’d known you come around! I promise to have you home by at least one.” Mark said. “One, Mark I can’t-“ Emerald was cut off by the sound of the call ending. “Did this nigga just hung up on me.” Emerald said while laughing.*Be ready by 10, I’ll pick you up* A message I got from Mark.

Y/N’s POV

“Franklins (Hunnids) rainin’ on your bodyyyyy….Rainin’ on your bodyyy!”

You sang softly as your friend slowly grinded on you to the beat. “Ayeeee!” You shout. “This is my song!” Your friend Jayden said as she started dancing regularly. “No one here is cute, I kinda wanna leave.” Jayden said frowning. “Just wait, it’s only 10. You know people don’t pop out until after 11:00. And besides this will probably be the last time we go out for a while. We have the project coming up you know.” You said trying to cheer her up. “I guess, but can we get some drinks.” She said pleading. “Yeah, but not too much the shooting starts tomorrow.” You say as y’all walked to the bar. “Whatever mom!” Jayden said while rolling her eyes. “Four shots of Patron please!” You say shouting over the music.

As you waited for your shots, someone across the club catches your eye. Is that the girl from the grocery store? What was her name? Emery no Emra- Your thoughts were occupied when your friend said the shots were ready. “Oh thank you.” You said as the bartender placed the drinks down. I won’t lie, drinking was never your thing for real. However smoking, now that’s another story. “Girl, Hurry up I wanna go dance again!” Jayden said as she swallowed down the last shot. “Awww, shit! That’s some strong stuff.” You said with your face scrunched up. “Bitch, come on.” Jayden said. “I’m coming, I’m coming.” You said as she dragged you to the floor.

“Came into the game, no one replace me… Me love my Hennessy straight with no chaser.”

As I started to whine my hips, I felt someone behind me. As you turn around about to go off, you are shocked to find Emerald dancing behind you. Your eyes grew big, but she gave you a reassuring look calming you down. “Yeah baby come closer!” She sung to you as she continued to dance with you. You turn back around relaxing as you pressed your ass against her core. Grabbing your waist she started to match your rhythm to the music.

While you feel Emerald gently grind against, you feel your core tighten around nothing. You turn around and put your arms around her shoulders. Before slowly whining your hip toward the floor dragging your hand down her body, keeping eye contact the whole way down. “I never properly introduced myself, my name is Y/N.” You said, as you slowly came up from the ground looking at her with low eyes. She slowly grabbed your neck and pulled you close. You felt your lips brush, but before you could go in for a kiss she pulls away. “Thanks for the dance, Y/N. It was fun.” She said as she gave you a quick smirk while walking off.
