letting a traumatized character have their happy ending where they can recover from their trauma will always be a thousand times more powerful than killing them off for shock value

stefan is problematic because he lies about not being a hugger. he says he doesn’t hug but he’s the one who most of the time hugs people first. example: in that episode in s4 where he visits bonnie, he’s the one who hugs her yet in that same season he says he doesn’t hug. and that’s just one out of many examples. cancelled.

a court reporting company gave me a jar of jolly ranchers. i keep it on my desk and the candy’s up for grabs. every day the jar keeps getting emptier. am i the nice old lady that keeps candy at her desk at the office?

After Dewey’s sentence had been announced and the trial was over, Stefan decided to go home. His opinion on the final verdict was different than the others. Discussing the matter wouldn’t make a difference. All he did during the trial was pay attention and watch Helena play defense attorney for the executed. She must have been having a difficult time. Especially after being given the responsibility to defend an alleged criminal. 

He decided to go check up on her to see if she was doing alright. The thought of teenagers taking the life of another teenager plagued his mind and he hadn’t even been there to witness it. But Helena had. Stefan rang the doorbell twice and waited.
