I'm a good way through Ergo Proxy and my favourite thing about it so far is that one of the main characters can look like this

the other and he just changes freely and it hasn't been addressed so far. I'm sure it's intentional and important that he has a Loser Mode and a Cool Guy Mode but honestly I don't even want to know.
