This blog is more or less inactive. I don't know if I plan to use it anymore. Regardless, it has 4x the follower count of my main blog, and I'd be missing a great opportunity if I didn't use that platform to share something important.

Palestine is facing a genocide. Around 25,000 people have been killed since October and Israel shows no signs of stopping.

No matter what your political or religious beliefs may be, what's happening in Palestine is unacceptable. If you are a fellow human, you should not be okay with this.

Just to clarify, I don't care about the feelings of Zionists. If my posts make you feel guilty, good. They absolutely should, and until you better yourself as a person you don't deserve any peace of mind.

My only potential concerns are for people with moral OCD who viewed this blog as a safe space. If my recent posts are detrimental to your well being, you are free to unfollow and I won't judge you for that. This blog hasn't been active in ages and I was only using it again for fundraisers and important info to get more reach.

Just don't ignore or deny what's happening in Palestine, and help those in need however you can, that's all I ask of you.

Hey as someone else with OCD, literally do not worry about it tbh. It is a position of massive privilege to be able to decide we can’t look at calls to activism because “oh it causes distress.” So does being victim to violence and oppression, far more materially. I DO experience moral OCD about these things, but, quite frankly, living in the imperial core we need to learn to deal. our feelings are not more precious than people’s lives.

This is true. I just don't want to cause any harm to anyone, and I think there's a difference between being uncomfortable (as we should be because it's a horrifying situation) and triggering someone's OCD, which isn't going to help anyone. I've also noticed barely anyone interacts with the donation posts I share here (the blog has been dead and I'm assuming a chunk of my followers are too) so... I'm wondering if it's causing more harm than good. I don't really know.

The majority of people reading this blog will only know a fraction of what people in Palestine are going through. I agree that we need to work through any guilt we feel about that. But is this blog the place for it? I'm still genuinely not sure. It's something I'll need to think on, and your input helps, so I really appreciate it

Why do you post so many calls to activism? Some people with OCD experience guilt and overthinking as a result of posts such as this, and it seems like an odd thing to overtake a blog about a mental illness that can be triggered by feeling out of control.

This blog hasn't been active for a while and I haven't posted anything OCD related for a long time; I started posting fundraisers here because it has more followers than my main and I wanted them to get more reach. I assumed people would simply unfollow if they weren't comfortable with it since I doubted anyone was using this blog as a safe space anymore, it's been dead for quite some time and my pinned post says that.

I get where your concern is coming from, though. I can see why specifically using an OCD blog for this could be a problem.

I do think it's important for people to see things that are uncomfortable for them, but there is a difference between that and just outright triggering someone's OCD, which isn't going to help anyone in need

For now I'll focus on posting fundraisers to my main and I'll consider whether posting them to this account is something I should continue; thank you for telling me your concern

Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.

There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.
