I saw a comment saying Caine going God/monster mode is equivelent to a threat display animals do when they feel they are in danger and I lov e iiit.

Also I need more funny art with the cast members who have been in the circus for longer being blown away with stuff thats happened IRL since their circus entrance

This is Abstracted Caine Side Story 1 !!

I can imagine this taking place between parts 6 and 7 of the abstracted caine comic, but I can also just see this as an alternative scenario to Pomni finding Caine when he's crawling towards the cellar (i.e. not canon, an au of an au if you will LOL).

Pacing could be better but I only had a little time to work on this today and I mainly wanted to draw Caine screaming in pain, so mission accomplished 🙂‍↕️

I think this little argument between them showcases more directly the animosity they have in a way that the cast wouldn't really get to see. I think Caine's disposition in the main comic is more nervous and wanting to perform for the cast that his anger and resentment towards what he's actually doing doesn't come through as much.

But when he's around Kinger, he drops the act because he knows Kinger wouldn't be able to tell anybody what he saw anyways (or so he thought, cough cough part 9). I also think this dynamic explains why Kinger gives up when trying to get information out of Caine that first night when he and Pomni found him in his office--he knows Caine isn't going to tell him things with Pomni there.

As I said you can take this as being canon in the AU or just an alternate scenario ^^ I'm not sure which I like more so I'll just leave it at that

I hope you recognized by the characters but in case you aven't this AU is essentially a mashup of TADC and ATLA.

So here you have Pomni as Aang, Ragatha as Katara (though I might revisit her design, as I’m not entirely happy with this one) and Jax as Sokka. The designs of Caine as Zuko and Kinger as Iroh are here

My headcanon is that whenever Caine gets sad, the circus also loses its color with him

Ohhh my darlings they look so happy here...what a cute pose, i especially love how Caine's coattails are twirling. And the colors, and Ragatha's hair, and the folds of her dress, absolutely amazing, all of it! Thank you so much!!!
