a dragonite I painted like half a year ago

Hi. It’s been a while again and I haven’t drawn much for various reasons, but here’s a few Pokémon “AU” pictures. It’s a style I like to try to out sometimes, even if ten characters in a row got a bit too much in the end.

Anyway, I decided to make all (or at least most) of my black female characters as trainers. Two Teges, too. She’s had a character arch I’m pretty proud of, and would start off as one of those low-level gym leaders in Nanalan city who eventually ends up in the elite four because there’s no chill and she was out of Samado badges. I had another sketch for Saffran as well, but didn’t finish it. Kotoye’s a film director and Tulie is so stronk.

OVERHEARD: You’re Going To Have To Work With A Lot Of People Who Aren’t Your Friends

Overheard at the Nero Cafe in Downtown Crossing by the subway station. At the table next to me a young black woman (seemed to be in her 20s) was meeting with an older white guy, retired from years teaching business school classes but apparently still needing to work - she had paid for an hour with him as a consultant.

Northern Wisps

This project is my entry in Ronen Bekerman’s Cabins 3d Challenge. The goal was to visualize the prefab cabin in a location of choice. My design is placed in Icelandic Thórsmörk and I made several different scenes to show various aspects of the place (from quite barren hills to thick woody areas). The cabins themselves are formed as white ephemeral monoliths, contrasting with the organic surrounding and being something between the reminiscence of the ancient dwelling built around the fireplace and the idea of Nordic gods standing in the row on a mountain ridge. The project is full CGI, including the landscaping in the backgrounds. This is the part 3/3.
