This is so relevant right now.
When a friend told me that he hates birthdays and so he was not celebrating his, I looked at him and said through tears, “Celebrate your birthday, goddammit. You are lucky to have each one.

“I was talking to one of these friends about a father-child activity that Dave is not here to do. We came up with a plan to fill in for Dave. I cried to him, “But I want Dave. I want option A.” He put his arm around me and said, “Option A is not available. So let’s just kick the shit out of option B.”
Dave, to honor your memory and raise your children as they deserve to be raised, I promise to do all I can to kick the shit out of option B. And even though sheloshim has ended, I still mourn for option A. I will always mourn for option A. As Bono sang, “There is no end to grief … and there is no end to love.” I love you, Dave.”
A great and important read. Thanks for sharing, ctnyc.

It really breaks down to these two options: 1. Either get on board with Hillary Clinton, even if she’s not everything you’ve dreamed of. - or – 2. Whine and cry because Elizabeth Warren isn’t going to run, become apathetic, then let Republicans win the White House in 2016; likely replace four Supreme Court Justices over the following 8 years; start a war with Iran; ruin the planet; destroy our economy again; and undo all the good that’s been done these last 6 years. Yes, it’s really that simple. The question is, would you rather have a candidate who supports 60-70 percent of what you support, or almost none of it?

Wow. Drool.
The goal is to enable women who want to continue focusing on their careers without sacrificing their chance to have children later on.
WTF. This is NOT the answer.
I can see both sides of the argument. To those who are in "disgust" over this have never had to do IVF or other infertility treatments that put them into debt. Some women are unfortunately in a situation where freezing eggs might be their only chance to have biological children yet these women do not have the financial means to even have these procedures done.
The entire month of October is Miscarriage, Stillbirth and Infant Loss Awareness Month. These unfortunate events are something our society does not talk about, yet they are quite common to so many women who suffer everyday in silence. About 30% of pregnancies end in miscarriage and as of 2013, more than 25,000 babies are stillborn in the United States each year – 70 babies each and every day. Too many families grieve in silence, sometimes never coming to terms with their loss(es).
Today, October 15th is Miscarriage and Stillbirth Remembrance Day. Tonight at 7:00 pm in all time zones, families around the United States will light candles in memory all of the precious babies who have been lost during pregnancy. I ask that you join in that remembrance and light a candle. Please reblog and tell your friends and family to help raise awareness.
Happy Wednesday!

most people get married believing a myth that marriage is a beautiful box full of all the things they have longed for; companionship, intimacy, friendship etc … the truth is, marriage at the start is an empty box, you must put something in before you can take anything out. there is no love in marriage, love is in people, and people put love in marriage. there is no romance in marriage, you have to infuse it into your marriage. a couple must learn the art, and form the habit of giving, loving, serving, praising, of keeping the box full. if you take out more than you put in, the box will be empty.

Upon reading Tumblr drama-llama from internet buddy kimbaland today, I think there’s one important takeaway. Here’s someone who made a point to exercise and eat healthy during her pregnancy. Shit, girl was running 4 miles at a time when she was like 32 weeks along. She’s now 5 weeks post partum...
Wow. I understand wanting to stick up for your "Internet friend" but are you fucking serious? How could you be so cruel and judgmental? Let me ask you this. What about the women who are unable to work out during their pregnancies due to previous miscarriages? Are they not healthy enough for you? Some of these women do not have a choice. Your ignorance and cruel words are just one of the many reasons why these "mommy wars" and insecurity among women exist in the first place. We should be empowering one another and not putting each other down. Although I will say, based on your post I would say you are nothing close to being a "princess".
