A flood of people pour outside as the lunch bell sounds, Adam included. Usually taking this period as a time to meet with Miss Grundy, Adam decided to ditch and seek out his good friend Chuck instead. He hadn’t seen him since the night of the ball, and needless to say, they had a lot to catch up on. “Chuck, my boy!” He grins, taking a seat down at the jock table.

This was the date. The type of date that kept you up throughout the night, like butterflies on the first day of school. He’d been dreaming of this moment ever since he enrolled at Riverdale High one year ago. Initially hesitant, any worry had been lifted from his shoulders the moment he was greeted by the ponytailed girl. His vision locked on easily the most beautiful woman he’d laid his eyes on, the tour ended with the teenage boy barely able to navigate the halls.

But a year later, he now walks the halls as her friend, her escort, and maybe soon... her boyfriend. These thoughts continue to travel throughout his head as he makes his way downstairs-- his mother pining over how ‘handsome’ he looked. But with little time to talk, he’s out the door and headed for the Cooper residence. Pulling up, his nerves finally catch up to him, a deep breath able to temporarily mute them as he makes his way up to the porch and rings the doorbell.
