She blushed and shrugged looking up at him she really looked at him. His eyes could make her melt.

He let out a soft chuckle, “C’mon, let’s get out of here before someone finds out what I did.”

"Who else would I steal for?”  He chuckles.

I wasn’t stealing, I was borrowing without permission.  There’s a difference.

If anything they’d want us to have more than enough food.  That way if they wanna make us back into zombies we’d be in good health.

She nodded taking a deep breath. “Yeah” she said. She rubbed her lips together. “A l-lot. It was bad. I don’t.. I don’t ever want to go back there.” she said shaking her head. 

“You’ll never have to.  I’ll keep you safe.”  Adam cracked a small smile, “On a lighter note, have you come up with any baby names?”

She smirked. “Huh I guess.” she said. “I don’t want that at all.” she said. “We can’t let them take him or her. It’s ours not theirs.” she said starting to panic. She shook her ehad. “You didn’t know half the stuff that happened. He hurt me Adam.” she admitted finally. 

"I promise, I’ll do whatever I can to keep our baby safe okay?”  Adam smiled a little, but his jaw dropped soon after, “He did what?!”  He clenched his fists, “I swear to god, if I wasn’t locked up here I’d kill him.”

She giggled. “Yeah mommy doesn’t like that it hurts.” she said as the baby shifted. “I can’t tell if it was apologizing or rebelling.” she joked. “Hmm, maybe it’ll take after us.” she joked again. “You know, this babymight be the only person around here who is pure, like really good and innocent.” she said thinking about the baby who was untouched by the government and all that. “Melissa said that earlier and i’ve been thinking about it.” she said. “Oh, and yeah i know, i’d probably be dead or in jail or something.” she shrugged. 

"Probably a little bit of both.”  Adam chuckled.  “Yeah, you’re right.  But we have to work our asses off to make sure it stays that way.  If the government found out about the baby, they’d try to take it away before we could even fight back.  We have to keep this under wraps.”  He raised an eyebrow, “Come on, I doubt that.”

The brunette winced as the kik was harder as the baby felt the presence of a different hand on Nyx’s stomach. “Ow.” she mumbled. “We would? Ok cool because you probably could have convinced me to runaway whether i was pregnant or not.” she admitted 

Adam leaned down so his face was right next to Nyx’s stomach, “Hey you, stop hurting your mommy.  Without her you wouldn’t be here.”  He chuckled and stood back up.  “Well hey, we had to get somewhere safe right?  It was pretty much our only option.”

She took his hand gently and put it on the side of her stomach where the baby was kicking lightly. “If I wasn’t p-pregnant with your kid, we’d still be close right?” she asked. 

A smile spread across his face as he felt the baby kick, and he nodded, “Yeah, of course we would.”

She smiled a little and froze then continued to walk. “Wanna feel it kick? It hurts like heck but it’s so cool.” she giggled. “Hey can I ask you something. I don’t mean to be all like serious or whatever.” she said kicking a pebble. 

"Yeah, sure.”  Adam smiled and looked over at Nyx with a slightly raised eyebrow, “Yeah sure.  Ask away.”

She nodded. “Good point.” she said laughing as she took a bite of the apple. “At least they don’t have peanut butter or pomegranates over there because im allergic to those.” she said. 

"Oh please, we’d be lucky if we got stuff like that.”  Adam rolled his eyes playfully, making his way out of the building.

She smiled politely and thanked the woman. It was obvious she was pregnant considering she was a whale. She turned to walk away. “Don’t want to admit it’s yours?” She joked poking him.

"Oh, I’ll happily admit it’s mine.  Just not where a conservative and very flirty old lady who gives me free food is involved.”  Adam replied when he knew Ethel could no longer hear him.

Um, well I just met Ash but she seems pretty cool, Melissa’s fun to talk to, and I got Nyx pregnant so I kind of have to like her.  Nah, kidding, she’s awesome.

She looked up at him and grabbed two apples and a plum. She smiled and had to resist the urge of licking her lips at how good it all smelt. “I think the baby likes healthy food.” She said.

"I think you’re right.”  He smiled and looked at the lady behind the counter.  “Hey Ethel, look, my friend here is with child, do you think you can do me a solid?”  The lady nods and he winks at her, “You’re the best.  Thank again.”

Ashley grinned back, glad to have had this experience mostly for her writing. Surely, it would make the people laugh once they properly could. “The pleasure is mine, Adam.” She allowed her grin to fade to a regular, friendly smile. “So what do you do for fun around here?”
