New job!
Things have been a bit quiet on my blog lately, this is due to me getting a new day job! I’m no longer taking on any freelance work, although I am still working on art and development projects in my spare time (and as part of my day job). I’ll keep updating this periodically with any new work that I do.
Another game for Ludum Dare that I helped to create as part of Second Dimension Games. Play our game Star Traveller here. This time I was on development duty and created the game in Construct 2.
Various designs for t-shirt and other products, available for sale here. Created in Inkscape.
Artwork commissioned by The Vegan Society for the new edition of their Vegan Passport book and app. The artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator.
I was commissioned by The Vegan Society to create their Veganalyser app. I am in no way responsible for the concept, statistics, design or language used, I was just hired to build it and do the artwork. It is a web app and demonstrates some of my skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and multiple libraries used including jQuery and jQuery UI) and PHP (including sharing functionality across Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook). The artwork was produced using Photoshop, Gimp and MyPaint.
A set of commissioned social media illustrations, created for The Vegan Society and in Adobe Illustrator.
Commissioned artwork, created using Krita.
More game artwork, again made as part of Second Dimension Games. I created these assets in Gimp for the game Midnight Fields, which we made as part of FFSjam (a game jam created by my team mate Edge). Play the game here, and follow us on Twitter or on Itch.
This is artwork that I produced for Toy Box Metropolis, a game created for Ludum Dare 37 by Second Dimension Games. All of the artwork was created using Gimp, and you can play the game here.
Not Alone is a game that I made as part of Second Dimension Games, for the Pixel Horror Jam. This is the first game as part of the team that I've taken the lead on in terms of design and development. I developed this in Construct 2, and used Gimp for bits of the artwork (such as the HUD and door animations) although most of the artwork was done by my team mate James. You can play the game here, and read the post-mortem analysis here. Follow our team on Twitter or on Itch.
It's been a while since I've posted on here! Far too long! Needless to say I'll be doing a few updates soon. I've been busy with freelance work, moving house and had Christmas/new years to get through, so things have been a little bit slow. I'll try and make sure I post more regularly.
Yet more retro pixel art I’ve completed, this time for an unreleased Second Dimension Games project that we’re currently working on. I produced this in Gimp.
Another storyboard sketch from my WIP project. Sketched up using Gimp.
I was persuaded to draw a vulpix on a blackboard using chalks.
These are all of the sprites that I created for Proxima B as part of Second Dimension Games, for Ludum Dare 36. Play the game here, I also helped out with some of the level design. I created all of the sprites using Gimp.
Random pencil sketches from a sketchbook: King Charles I and a face from my imagination.
