For those wondering where I am I’m on my main @maceemayson
You dropped ur spaget
Luke frowned, thinking about leaving the poor kid alone. But he knew this kind of wound–knew what the context of it was. It’d be different if he had realized it was there: if he had bumped his head and knew. But it surprised him…it just reminded Luke of something his father would do to him. Maybe he was wrong. He hoped he was wrong. But in the off-chance this guy was getting hurt by someone he loved… “You’ll be fine, I know, I know. But maybe I dropped my wallet so we could meet….maybe so I could help, y’know?” Luke reached once more, surprised when his touch was met with a sigh instead of resistance. Dabbing his temple gently, Luke couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
“Listen…people don’t hurt the ones they love. Not, like this.” His voice was quiet, a little shaky. “I dunno what’s goin’ on…jus’ keep that in mind?” Luke had high hopes for what he was going to say but, there he went stuttering and being unsure of himself. Was it even his place?
“I,” a slight chuckle rolled off of Luke’s lips, and he couldn’t help but move away slightly from the man before him, “still never caught a name? I’m Luke. In case you missed it.”
Someone who was going to be so quietly determined to help a stranger had to be given some kind of credit--he just hated that he had to be the one to give it. So he let him do what he wanted, for now. “Okay, give it back to me then. Your wallet.” there was a pause, not sure if his voice was conveying how serious he wasn’t being. “So I can choose to run off with it instead.” He had managed a crooked smile, before catching the man’s hand reaching for his pocket--really? Nick reached his hand into the sink to get it decently wet, then flicked a gracious mount of water onto Luke. “Stop.” the was no malice to his voice now, sounding a bit tired, but he still tried to play...a little bit. He frowned deeply, thinking about that. For him to make such a pinpointed assumption spoke volumes about himself, but he didn’t think it right to push it back into him. “S’alright, don’t love my old man anyway. He’s a piece of shit.” the playful tone he had held moments ago was missing, and he thought to look down this time, not wanting to meet eyes with Luke. Nick pulled away from where he had been standing too, making a bit of distance between the two. He touched his head gently a few times, checking his hand to make sure the bleeding had stopped. “Yeah, yeah, Luke. I know.” after he had said it, he realized he only knew because he checked his wallet. He was sure it wouldn’t be the biggest problem in the world, but he also didn’t want to admit he looked first. “Thanks, for...that.” He gestured, not quite trying to avoid the question as he made for the door. He was thinking that hot chocolate might not be so hot anymore but it sounded a lot better now than it had twenty minutes ago. “It’s-” having pushed the door open slightly, he heard his Uncle’s voice from the lobby and frowned. Great. So much for that drink. He practically deflated, after calming down in Luke’s presence; he hadn’t been prepared to have his whole body wrecked with anxiety. “It’s-yeah, that. Nick.” he let go of the door, having it come to a close just an inch from his own face.

❛❛ This is stupid but… could you sing to me? You have such a nice voice, and I think it might help calm me down… you don’t have to, but… ❜❜
Nick couldn’t help the glare. Sure, Luke was hurting. It was even rare for him to admit to any kind of vulnerability, but this was ridiculous. To word it like that was what was stupid.“Knock it off, man. I know my voice is awful.” He was practically grumbling. Luke was the one with the voice meant for singing. “Jus’ say my voice calms you down. Don’t go, glorifyin’ it like that.” He gestured gently toward him, now refusing eye contact. Luke was always a little wishy washy when it came to what he wanted, if the results were not what he expected he just goes on to the next thing. That goes for unfinished business too, so he knew he’d have to start before he chimed in with a ‘nevermind’ or some other subject change. So he cleared his throat. “Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.”He waited for the laugh, but the expectant gaze from Luke instead made him laugh. Fine, he thought. The overwhelming anxiety rushing up and down his arms and restlessly coming whole into his chest, he nearly coughed. But he knew Luke wouldn’t make fun of him for stuttering out some lyrics…but maybe he’d just stick to humming for now.
"I love that stupid kid. No matter what you think, he is a good boy"
❛❛ Think of the things we’ll never do. ❜❜
“You mean the things we’ll never get to do again?” As if everything ending wasn’t enough sadness for more than a lifetime, the thought of all the luxuries that had once inhabited the world was enough to send Nick into a bout of depression. But, he swallowed it. “There ain’t much we didn’t do, Luke.” Going to the movies was a bi-weekly event that Pete had allowed for them to do, (thanks uncle pete) and Nick thinks he might miss that the most. Even the things he didn’t like he missed, and he was grateful for Luke playing along with all the fake phone calls. He even missed going grocery shopping at bad times, where the store was full of people and the lines were 40 minutes long. Maybe he was just hungry, or maybe he was just feeling nostalgic for what life used to be thanks to one stupid thing his friend had to say.He knew the passing moment of silence might have been a bit much for Luke, so he apologized. “Feels like a million years ago. All we got left is the bad stuff.” He sighed, not wanting to delve in too deep. Not today.Maybe today he wouldn’t talk about death. So he smiled, strained, and painful, but it was for him. “What would you say was your favorite movie back in the day? You think it would’ve had a sequel by now?”
❛❛ wait , did you just say you love me? ❜❜ -uncle pete
“Did I fuckin’ stutter?” Unlike the previous statement, this one came out of his mouth without a second thought. There was no planning in it, no thinking of the consequences, it was just out. He was about ready to start spouting something about how Pete had it out for him, wanted to embarrass him further–even if the latter had been done by himself and he knew this as fact. But, he just shut up. He supposed responding in a more defensive manner was more real, more concrete than any heartfelt words would have been to his uncle at this point in time anyway.
❛❛ You cannot speak, but kiss me in my husband’s absence. ❜❜ -Walter (joking)
❛❛ I just want to see you smile again. ❜❜
The comment from who he wouldn’t hesitate to tell (someone else) was his best friend sounded completely off the wall and a bit uncharacteristic of him, but so had his earlier statement. Something must have been eating at him, but it couldn’t possibly be what he was trying to admit to him just now. But the least he could do for him, for whatever was bothering him, was try to humor his words. “I’m…not positive I can do that right now, man. But I’ll,” Nick let out a breath, looking away from Luke for only a moment. “I’ll keep that in my head. ‘N heart, too. Thanks, for..“for worrin’ about me. Hopefully we’ll all have a reason to smile again soon.”
The Phantom Of The Opera — Broadway {Sentence Starters}
❛❛ Your number, sir? ❜❜
❛❛ Will you still play when all the rest of us are dead? ❜❜
❛❛ Some of you may recall the strange affair of the Phantom of the Opera: a mystery never fully explained. ❜❜
❛❛ Perhaps we may frighten away the ghost of so many years ago with a little illumination… ❜❜
❛❛ With feasting and dancing and song, tonight in celebration we greet the victorious throng. ❜❜
❛❛ We are rehearsing. If you wouldn’t mind waiting a moment? ❜❜
❛❛ Tonight, rejoice - your army has come home. ❜❜
❛❛ Always has his/her head in the clouds, I’m afraid. ❜❜
❛❛ Think of me fondly, when we’ve said goodbye. Remember me once in a while - please promise me you’ll try. ❜❜
❛❛ Don’t think about the things which might have been. ❜❜
❛❛ Think of the things we’ll never do. ❜❜
❛❛ You did well. He will be pleased. ❜❜
❛❛ Where in the world have you been hiding? ❜❜
❛❛ Father once spoke of an angel… I used to dream he’d appear… ❜❜
❛❛ Somehow I know they’re always with me. ❜❜
❛❛ you must have been dreaming… stories like this can’t come true. ❜❜
❛❛ This is one visit I would prefer to make unaccompanied. ❜❜
❛❛ I was just fourteen and soaked to the skin. ❜❜
❛❛ Ignorant fool! ❜❜
❛❛ Stay by my side, guide me! ❜❜
❛❛ My power over you grows stronger yet… ❜❜
❛❛ Those who have seen your face draw back in fear… ❜❜
❛❛ You have come here, for one purpose, and one alone. ❜❜
❛❛ Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world! ❜❜
❛❛ Who was that shape in the shadows? ❜❜
❛❛ Damn you! You little prying Pandora! You little demon. ❜❜
❛❛ Now you cannot ever be free. ❜❜
❛❛ Can you even dare to look or bear to think of me? ❜❜
❛❛ Fear can turn to love - you’ll learn to see, to find the man behind the monster. ❜❜
❛❛ No one likes a debtor, so it’s better if my orders are obeyed. ❜❜
❛❛ Who the hell is he/she? ❜❜
❛❛ He/she is clearly quite insane! ❜❜
❛❛ I have your letter - a letter which I rather resent! ❜❜
❛❛ It’s useless trying to appease me! ❜❜
❛❛ Think of how they all adore you! ❜❜
❛❛ Is this ghost an angel or a madman? ❜❜
❛❛ You’d never get away with all this in a play. ❜❜
❛❛ This is a game you cannot hope to win! ❜❜
❛❛ A nation waits, and how it hates to be cheated. ❜❜
❛❛ So, it is to be war between us. ❜❜
❛❛ You cannot speak, but kiss me in my husband’s absence. ❜❜
❛❛ To the roof. We’ll be safe there. ❜❜
❛❛ It was an accident. Simply an accident. ❜❜
❛❛ Don’t take me back there! ❜❜
❛❛ Say you love me every waking moment, turn my head with talk of summertime. ❜❜
❛❛ Say you need me with you, now and always… promise me that all you say is true - that’s all I ask of you… ❜❜
❛❛ Let me be your shelter, let me be your light. ❜❜
❛❛ All I want is freedom. ❜❜
❛❛ Say you love me. ❜❜
❛❛ All our fears are in the past. ❜❜
❛❛ Why is it secret? What have we to hide? ❜❜
❛❛ Please, let’s not fight. ❜❜
❛❛ What are you afraid of? ❜❜
❛❛ I can only hope you’ll understand in time. ❜❜
❛❛ Did you think that I had left you for good? ❜❜
❛❛ You’ve seen something, haven’t you? ❜❜
❛❛ He/she escaped. ❜❜
❛❛ They never found him. It was said he had died. ❜❜
❛❛ The world forgot them, but I never can. ❜❜
❛❛ You think I’m blind? ❜❜
❛❛ The answer is staring us in the face. ❜❜
❛❛ If you succeed, you free us all. ❜❜
❛❛ Fear my fury. ❜❜
❛❛ You resist, yet your soul obeys. ❜❜
❛❛ We had such hopes and now those hopes are shattered. ❜❜
im not crying my eyes are sweating
❝here, i'll pay for that.❞
The smug-ass look on this guys face when he offered was enough to send Nick’s fist flying--don’t worry, it didn’t–when he realized he hadn’t even brought his wallet he was resigned to call it a day and walk home. But this asshole had another idea.“Yeah, no thanks.“ He turned to the cashier, pushing the small amount of goods away and toward them. “I’ll come back later for ‘em.” He glared at the guy behind him, and then realized. Oh, that’s why. Well, he still wasn’t about to let him do that for him, the jerk.
