Dude do you know The Downtrodden web series? It's another Les Amis web series and the pilot is coming out on the 27th.

I do know it!! I was already excited for it before BBC turned out to be the flaming trash heap posts are making it out to be. Since then, I’ve learned of at least two other Les Mis web series that are also being released this month, and honestly? I feel so blessed to be a part of a community that steps up where big BBC-budget projects fail.

Here’s the Les Mis Web Series that I know of that are ongoing or being released in the near future:

@thedowntroddenwebseries is releasing their pilot 27 January at Shadow of the Tor (I think that’s the channel, I couldn’t find a link on the tumblr page and don’t have a fb to check the group).

@nyxrising has Barricade Boys at NyxRising Industries (two episodes as of today!).

@enjolras-is-celibate has released their pilot at Les Amis Web Series; first episode will be released 31 January.

@storiesfromlesamies did a 31-episode web series that you can follow on their tumblr (I couldn’t find a Youtube account that had all of them) and culminated in a full-length movie (just over an hour) called Les Amies Rise (this was four years ago, they have other great Les Mis content on their channel too that you should totally check out).

Note: I have yet to watch any of these except the trailer. I still feel confident that they’ll be more true to le thicc bricc than any theoretical ongoing mini-series with a BBC-budget.

If there are any I’ve left out or are any corrections that need made, let me know so I can add/fix them!!

Loki trudged into Thor’s room and fell face first onto his brother’s bed. Thor was working quietly at his desk, typing away at something or other, and after a moment he stopped, maybe finished or maybe reaching a place where he could pause. It still surprised Loki how Thor would always come to him when he was in need. The rolling desk chair creaked as Thor moved, reminding Loki that they needed oil for the damned thing.

Quiet steps approached the bed, Thor’s socked feet padding across the hardwood before his weight made the mattress dip. His hand fell heavy onto Loki’s back and made Loki sigh and relax as Thor rubbed a warm, soothing circle on his skin through the cotton of his shirt.

“Want to talk about it?” Thor asked.

Loki shook his head.

Thor moved until they were laying together and rolled on his side. Loki edged closer and turned so he could curl into Thor’s front and bury his face in Thor’s chest. His brother was a wall of heat and muscle and it made Loki feel so secure, so safe and loved.

A lingering kiss was pressed to the top of his head and of all the things to make him cry, he felt ridiculous that this should be it. Tears stung his dry eyes as Thor comforted him. No questions, no guilt-trips or making him feel like he was a burden. Just easy, unconditional love from the person who knew him the best. Thor hummed softly, a little tune Loki recognized from when they were kids. He laughed as he cried. The lyrics were long-forgotten, but he remembered the bouncy little melody to what they’d both deemed was their theme song during their greatest adventures of climbing trees and defeating monsters in their garage.

Thor drew his face up with a gentle finger under his chin and smiled at him. “Bad day?”

Loki nodded and stole a quick kiss, then went back to the warmth of Thor’s chest and the gentle memories of their childhood playing out in his mind.

How lucky he was that the love of his life loved him back.

AU in which both Thor and Loki survive the beginning of IW, but Thor is dusted in the snap.

All at once, shock, panic, denial, and despair overwhelm him. The world around him loses its color and blurs. He barely knows how to breathe. His body feels like it belongs to someone else. He doesn’t remember sitting. How long will he remain there before time begins to move again? What is there for him now that they’ve lost the war (he’s lost everything)? His only conviction in that moment is that he was never supposed to be the one to survive.
