Patrick leans back in his chair, studying Richie with new interest, squinting his eyes like he's got the guy spread out in a dissecting pan. "So, Tozier, when's the last time you actually got anywhere near a girl? And I don't mean in your head." "Why the hell would you wanna know about my love life?" Richie sputters, his eyes like a pair of round, black marbles behind his glasses. Patrick shrugs. "You talk a big game, but I've been going to the same school with you for almost ten years and I've never once seen you so much as hold a girl's hand." He tilts his head. "That strike you as weird? Strikes me as weird." Or: Patrick and Richie spend a Saturday in detention and realize they have more in common than they thought.

Summary: Forced into retirement from being an alpha companion – someone who helps rehabilitate traumatised omegas – Augus languishes with a new heart condition, facing an uncertain future. While at Hillview Rehabilitation Facility, figuring out his next steps, he meets an independent older omega – Corbyn Prince – who visits his nephew on an irregular basis. To the surprise of them both, a relationship kindles between the two older men, who both are unfamiliar with what a normal relationship is supposed to look like.

Notes: This is another story in the Underline the Black universe! Set prior to Underline the Black.

Summary: Nate, an omega, has been sent to Hillview by his alpha partner who doesn’t believe he’s good enough to claim or bond with, and wants him trained up at an omega rehabilitation facility to be a better partner. Nate is paired up with the alpha Janusz, who soon realises Nate has been micromanaged and ‘trained’ already to the point of having his soul shattered, and a journey of slow recovery and rehabilitation begins.

Last one, here we go. This was the part of this fic that I genuinely didn't expect, which is to say that I thought the whole entire thing was going to be Essek POV and then I hit this point and went "wait a second." And then I thought it was going to be a fairly short and simple wrap-up but whoops, SECOND HEALTH BAR, because oh, right, the only thing I love more than a time loop is what happens once you're out of it. As I mentioned in the notes for the last chapter, I have two alt-POV fics set after the end of this one that I'll be throwing up in the next couple weeks, probably. But for the moment, it ends here.
