"It was a first for me, too." Hau chuckles, finding her inner dilemma between motherly instinct and scientific curiousity rather endearing.

"Don't worry, I'll let you know everything in detail! I made sure to write stuff down after I returned. As for if I'm okay--" Here's where their smile falters.

"I feel... kinda sick. Ever since I returned, it just keeps getting worse. Started with a headache, and now I keep running fevers and just. I feel like death most of the time." But on the other side... "My powers have increased, though, and they just keep getting stronger. It's getting hard to control and find a balance between storing and releasing static energy."

Kinda sick? She... she just sighs, softly. Powers increasing, hard to control...!

"It's very possible you got hit by the Ultra Radiations, then.

From my studies, apparently 99% of Fallers end up feeling some side-effects, once they return. Difficulty with sleeping, mood swings, occasionally even changes in their appearence."

She's sure at least one of those Interpol agents who take care of the Ultra Wormholes has glow-in-the-dark eyes!

"Considering your position and your situations... I wouldn't be surprised if you got hit much worse than others. The Tapus are... pretty much the anthitesis of the Ultra Beasts, and anything that comes from the Ultra Space, after all..."

She'd rather not comment about the fact that she really wants to put them in a tube and study them right now. Girl, your mad scientist side is showing.

"...s-still" a cough "We'll have to inform Interpol. As far as I know there are already some Fallers, here, who get occasional visits from them..."

They feel kinda guilty. They're burning up again, feeling a tad feverish, and Burnet had no doubt noticed their burning cheeks. Maybe they shouldn't have gone out today, but hey, they had an island to run, and questions to ask.

Hau sits down on the sofa, which was comfortable as ever (could sit here all day...), and runs a hand through his hair while petting Rockruff with the other. "Mhm, that too-- I just-- I haven't told many people this yet, but I am part of the Faller club ever since I got thrown back here a while back. Nobody noticed I was gone, though. It was like time there was warped, and I was only gone for a day or so here."

At first, her maternal instinct kicks in. Eyes wide, surprised-- no, shocked she didn't even notice they went missing, with or without a temporal dissonance. A hand returns on their cheek, a soft "Oh Hau…!" escapes her lips as then her nerdy side dares to take a peek, barely stopping before she could ask how it was, what they saw, which Ultra Beast they met...

...and then, finally. Her scientist side make her frown, looking down.

"It's odd. My radars detected a spike of Ultra Radiations, some days ago, but it didn't last more than just... a handful of seconds, give or take."

Did they feel it before her machines because of the whole blessing thing?

"And it would be the first time I hear about how time, in there, is distorted."

...woman, think about it later. Focus on the motherly side.

"A-Anyway! Are you okay? Were you attacked--"

Ah, a bit of a chaos like usual, it seems. Didn't matter to Hau, though! Felt kinda homely, in a way. They grin briefly at the sight of Lei and the Rockruff, before turning back to Burnet. "Iced tea sounds good! I just--" Huh...? They slowly reach a hand up to their cheek, wiping at the skin. ...Why are they already crying?

"...U-uhm. Heh, sorry about that."

They quickly wipe their eyes on their cape, before simply unhooking and taking the thing off for now. A stretch of their wings, which are glad to be freed from their cape-y prison temporarily.

"I'm okay. I... I had some questions about Ultra Space."

"One iced tea, coming right up!" she chirps, already going to the fridge... just to stop when Hau apologizes, turning towards them, and--

"Oh.

Oh darling...!"

--and, leaving the jug on the counter, instead moves closer, offering them an handkerchief and gently cups their cheek, wiping away the tears, before gently leading them to the sofa. Rockruff is quick to jump by their side, and soon Burnet returns, a cup of delicious tea in one hand, her now lifted son on the other.

"The Ultra Space?" oh man...! "Of course! Is there something wrong? Did-- did some Ultra Beasts appear again?"
