“You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose!”
~Oh the Places You’ll Go!
Some words to hold in your head and heart
for 2020
“Help me through the storm, to see the beauty of the rain”
“Maybe we won’t all grow old and have the life we thought we would. But despite that, love will still find its way into our hearts, whether you like it or not”
~The phrases I think in my head but dare not say aloud
Today I heard someone say that when we get rejected we have to get back up. I found that to be very impactful. So many times in my life I have been rejected and dwelled on it for way too long. Like when I’ve been told I was never good enough. It feels like the air has stopped in your lungs and that you can’t move. You get this funny feeling in your stomach and you feel the tears burning at the back of your eyes. It’s okay to feel things. To have and show emotions. That’s part of being human. But this little speech, if you will, showed me that you can still feel upset, without wasting your life. You get back up. You let it go and continue on. You will be okay. You can’t deprive yourself of living or of feeling those feelings. We find a balance. And then we live on.
Hello there :)
Hi. I’m starting my 2020 with a bang. I’ve decided to write about things in life that are beautiful works of art. Not all of them will be good. Some things will be painful. I won’t write every day, but I’ll do my best. I’ll also be posting the occasional piece of art or reposting other things. Like I said, I’m doing my best. This is a new journey for me and I’m excited. So. If you’re reading this and want to tag along, thank you and enjoy the ride.
Curious about my username? Let me explain. Part of my name is spelt with an E instead of an I, which tends to confuse people but I find it special. I like to think of it as a trademark. So that’s what it became
