I used to be a serious zutara shipper but seriously? The thing my young zuko-obsessed mind couldnât see was that her hesitation toward aang was not a lack of chemistry or attraction, it was the conflict between her love for aang the person and her respect, faith, and reverence for aang the avatar. She had to reconcile his importance and power as the avatar, symbol of hope and peace, with him as a normal person who has thoughts and feelings, just like her. The plot had to drive this developmentâit couldnât happen for her until the war was over. It was incredibly well written and I respect every decision Bryke made toward them
