watched the video yesterday where the person whose art looks otherwise very legit got accused of ai simply because a hand on one picture had 6 fingers, and people were like "a person can't draw six fingers when they draw it themselves" well lemme show you what a person can draw if their brain is elsewhere

behold, a part of my sketch from 2015, before gen ai was even a thing, of a characher who straightens a bandage on his wrist, with TWO RIGHT HANDS (and i've noticed it after i finished the picture and had to redraw and it wasn't so pretty anymore) so yeah

i saved this part of the picture for posterity and i look back at it very fondly

look. i was trying to make something nice for celeste using assets from that cool earring from L&D, but i may have overdone it and made, uh... 12 versions so far?

the thing is, i like some of them, and some are kinda ugly (like 6 is awful, 1a is too much like 1b but more crude, and 2b and 7 need reworking), and i can't decide if i should just throw them in the trash or upload them anyway and let people decide for themselves what to throw in the trash

i also might make more if i don't stop, like. right now. because i'm making a whole set of earrings using just one maxis earring and it's getting out of control

upd: wait i just got an idea how i didn't reshape one element yet, so i might actually make more

I've been seeing people saying on reddit that the anadius mirror site has been compromised/hacked, and that trying to download the DLC unlocker actually downloads a malware .exe file, but I'm not able to replicate that on my end... I'm not sure if they're at the wrong site, or if they have adblock off and are unknowingly clicking on an ad and not the actual download button, or what. I'm not discounting these reports completely, I'm just not having the same experience.

But just to be safe:

Use an adblocker always (for all sites, but especially ones where you're downloading things). I use ublock origin and it works great. 👍

If you're downloading anything, do it from the official site for that thing, and not a 3rd party website.

For this issue specifically, the DLC unlocker should be a .bat file, NOT an .exe file. Do not run any strange .exe files.

i wanna add to that: if you download *.exe file that you don't completely trust, scan it on virustotal.com - an absolute lifesaver for years, it'll run your file through all antiviruses it has in its database and tell you if it found something sus

a couple positives from small no-name antiviruses is okay, sometimes false alarms happen, especially with those small ones. but of course if many scanners at once including big and serious things like drweb and kaspersky give you a positive for trojans, backdoors, stealers etc, yeeeah, i'd pass on that file immediately

i made it a face paint instead of facial hair, and i think it's cool this way, because you can lower the opacity to make it more subtle, choose whether to use it or not with different outfits, and use it on female frame if you want!

it has 3 versions of moustache-beard combos, and each beard and moustache separately, in black, brown, red, ginger, blond, and white colors. teen-elder, both frames.

maybe he looks not as pretty as he could have with more romantic hair, but he definitely looks very memorable (and very tsundere, though it's probably because i can't separate this hair from scara's personality... should i just make him into scara instead of a random boy, while he's not yet an oc)
