You know you like your startup when: -You volunteer to work on a public holiday -You work in the pool, atop a horse or even in the garden
Calling out to all the people looking to have an exciting weekend! A truly unique and unforgivable experience with mother nature. Overnight in a cave, in total darkness, meet the local fauna and listen to the animal sounds from the jungle around you.
What kind of clothes are appropriate for Malaysia?
Malaysia is definitely sunny but the heat wave doesn’t last all day long. Daytime temperatures can rise above 30°C (86°F) and night time temperatures hardly fall below 20°C (68°F).Travellers can enjoy a beach holiday throughout the year. The country witnesses the south-west monsoon from May to September and the North-east monsoon from November to March.
Malaysia has very rich culture and tradition. It is advisable to avoid clothes that reveal too much skin. Women can wear cotton pants and a blouse or tank top. For men light coloured shirts and tee shirts are best to tackle the humidity. Clothes that dry easily would be a bonus because there might be occasional spells of rain when you least expect it.
For hikers, choose boots over other shoes to ensure safety and to prevent mucky feet. Malaysian jungles have mosquitoes which can be avoided with the right attire and some mosquito repellent.
Those who plan on visiting temples, mosques and other religious monuments should wear inexpensive footwear that is easy to remove. Most places require you to stack footwear outside or at the entrance of the religious structure.
All travellers truly wanting to explore Malaysia must carry a pair of sturdy walking shoes. After all, you see, learn and discover the most while on foot. Try and wear minimal jewellery as there are sometimes cases of chain snatching. It’s just better to be safe than sorry!
Lastly, as tempted as you may be to make your bag lighter by giving the umbrella a miss, do not. Invest in a good compact umbrella especially if you are travelling away from the main city.

Malaysia’s Batu Caves are more than just a series of caverns.
The caves, located north of Kuala Lumpur, are the site of an iconic Hindu temple and shrine. The site is known for its enormous statue of the Hindu god Murugan, the 272 concrete steps that lead to a stunning view, and the many monkeys that call the Batu Caves home.
Visitors who want to take their cave experience to the next level can try one of the rock climbing trails located at the Batu Caves. Check out photos of the caves below!
George Town, Penang: Asia’s greatest street food city!
No time and only one stomach? Here's how to conquer this food-loving destination with your belt holes intact!
Penang food is a mix of traditional Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes, as well as fusion cuisines such as Baba Nyonya or Peranakan, which incorporates regional ingredients as well as Chinese and Malay cooking methods.
All of this can be found in hawker centers and shop houses throughout George Town.
Combine this with the city's collection of historic buildings in various styles. From old English colonial mansions to classical Chinese shophouses and Islamic mosques.
You have a city meant for walking and eating.
My first meal in the city is a plate of lamb rendang, a traditional Malaysian curry made with coconut milk and spices, slowly simmered to allow the meat to absorb all the flavors.
From that moment, I'm like a kid seeking out on a sugar rush.
Stomach space becomes precious. I obsess over where and when I'll have my next meal.
My mission: to enjoy as many of the island's famed dishes as possible in three days.

Malaysia Is The Top Pick Destinations By Travel With Style India!
We are very proud to inform all our visitors that Malaysia has been pick as top magical destination spot by "Travel With Style" Indian edition and they highlighted few points that are worthy for other travelers to read through:-
By Subani Saxena
Malaysia is a verdant land, home to ancient rainforests with endangered inhabitants such as orangutans and sun bears. It's also a richly diverse landscape where one can rub toes in powdery white sand on tiny Rawa Island or seek relief from Malaysia's tropical climate in Cameron Highlands' lush tea plantations. The people comprise a cultural mosaic of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous tribes. Visitors eat well at roadside stalls on sticks of satay (grilled meat), stained yellow with turmeric, and Hokkien mee (fried noodles) fresh from a sizzling wok.
But what needs to be explored is not Kuala Lumpur this time, but there is a lot beyond it that can be enjoyed. Travel n Style gives you an array of destinations that you must add to your must go travel list. Situated on the beautiful island of Borneo, Sabah is one of the thirteen states which Malaysia is made of. Sabah is the second largest state in Malaysia and shares the island of Borneo with Sarawak, Brunei, and Indonesian Kalimantan. Not only will you be amazed by the places to see and things to do here, you will also be treated with unique Sabahan hospitality. Explore the unique culture and tradition of Sabah and get ready to experience sweet memories to last a lifetime!
Kota Kinabalu Kota Kinabalu, situated on the tropical island of Borneo and the state capital of the Malaysian state Sabah is one of the two states of East Malaysia. This is one of the most fantastic cities you ever have been to. A modern capital with a warm hospitality that you hardly find in many places around the world. Just around a corner you have long sandy beaches, paradise islands, virgin coral reefs, tropical rain forests, and the mighty Mount Kinabalu is only 90 minutes away.
Right from shopping, entertainment hubs, palatable sea food, prestige buildings etc. this land has everything that is required to attract tourists and visit this bounteous land. The best places to stay in Kota Kinabalu are Hotel Le Meridien and Gayana Resort. Hotel Le Meridien which wins hearts for its unrivaled location makes it the perfect destination for accommodation with other business travelers alike. On the other hand, Gayana Eco Resort rests at the edges of a lush coral reef island off the coast of Borneo. 52 overwater villas are architecturally designed to enhance the sounds of the surf below while capturing the enduring vistas of Mt. Kinabalu on the horizon. At its heart, the resort is about protecting our precious Marine Ecology, and the only property with an on-site Marine Ecology Research Centre passionately propagating endangered Giant Clams and restoring natural coral reefs; where guests of all ages participate in restoring vibrant life back to once damaged ocean floors.
Kota Kinabalu has a lot to offer in terms of shopping. The few major shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu are Centrepoint, Karamunsing Complex, KK Plaza, Wawasan Plaza and. Wisma Merdeka.
Sandakan The historical city of Sandakan is the second largest city in Sabah. It is located in the east coast of Borneo Island and is the administrative centre of the Sandakan Division. The gateway to Borneo’s famous wildlife, Sandakan is famous for its numerous eco-tourist attractions. One of the most popular is the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, a short a walk along a jungle trail reveals orangutans being slowly re-introduced to the wild. Nearby, the Rainforest Discovery Centre, Turtle Island Park, the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary, and Gomantong Caves offer equally memorable experiences.
An open-snapshot of the island’s civilisation is found at St Michael and All Angels Church. Built in 1893, it is one of Sandakan’s most historic stone buildings. Another significant landmark is Sam Sing Kung Temple. Constructed in 1887, it is Sandakan’s oldest structure. For genuine insight into life during the British North Borneo era, visit the Agnes Keith House. Fully restored, it was once the home of the eponymous American writer. Also in the area are: the Sandakan War Memorial, the site of a WWII Prisoner-of-War camp; Kampung Buli Sim Sim, a unique stilted fishing village located on the original site of Sandakan; and the ornate Puu Jih Shih Buddhist Temple. Situated atop a hill, it boasts fantastic panoramas of the city and sea.
The apt place to stay here is Four Points by Sheraton. Overlooking the Sulu Sea, Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan is conveniently located on the scenic waterfront promenade in Sandakan’s Central Business District.
The Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan is located directly on a scenic waterfront pedestrian promenade overlooking Sandakan Bay and the Sulu Sea. The hotel is part of the Sandakan Harbour Square development, the tallest building on Sandakan Harbour, which offers an indoor marketplace and retail shopping mall within the new Sandakan CBD. The hotel offers great facilities such as an outdoor pool with a pool bar, a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant, a gym, and a business centre. You are able to cool down from the tropical heat with a local or international beer from the hotel's Best Brews program. The hotel offers facilities for your conference, meeting, or special event, with nine different rooms and over 1600 square metres of function space.
Sukau If you want to let lose your adventurous side and wish to stay close to nature then Sukau is the place you should be. Sukau is home to Borneo pygmy elephants, orang utans, proboscis monkeys and all eight species of hornbill in Borneo. Just two and the half hour jetty ride from Sandakan will lead to an award winning nature kissing eco-resort called the Sukau Rainforest Resort which is situated on the banks of one of Borneo's most important waterways and the longest river of Sabah, the Kinabatangan River. This place gives the tourists the opportunity to view birds and wildlife in virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. Birdlife is especially rich here (over 325 species have been sighted in the area) including eight species of hornbills, kingfishers darters, owls, kites, eagles, broadbills, doves, storm storks, herons, hawks, ospreys, falcon, pheasants, parakeets, bee eaters, woodpeckers, pittas, bulbuls, forktails, babblers, warblers, flycatchers, orioles, flowerpeckers, spiderhunters, among others.
Shopping in Malaysia While most of the batiks you find in Malaysia come from Indonesia, many in Malaysia are made at factories that you can often tour. The Indonesian prints usually show traditional motif and colors, while Malaysian designs can be far more modern. Look for batik silk as well. Also, silver filigree jewelry which is fine silver worked into detailed filigree jewelry designs to make brooches, necklaces, bracelets, and other fine jewelry. Not to be missed, Malaysia is the home of Selangor Pewter, one of the largest manufacturers of pewter in the world, and their many showrooms have all sorts of items to choose from.
Connectivity AirAsia has introduced additional flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan, enhancing the airline's connectivity to these destinations so one can reach these places comfortably. To reach Sandakan one has to take a jetty.
Do not miss experiences in Malaysia
1. Island hopping to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Kota Kinabalu, 20 minutes boat ride to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Safari - The Adventure Never Lasts
One of the intriguing criteria that makes a safari even more appealing than zoo is the freedom given to these animals to roam freely and we were able to see them in their own habitat rather than getting caged. The anticipation of being able to catch these animals in their own habitat, as if they are still in their wild jungle makes this experience even more exciting. Like they said, you always addicted to the dangerous one and this safari tour might be your choice of medication.
Offering a safari getaway is the innovative ways to experience the real way of seeing how these animals survive. In the actual scenario, it will be far more dangerous but in the safari, trained and skilled animals experts will be on duty the whole day to ensure safety precaution and rules being followed by all visitors. While for lions, tigers and other big cats neighborhood, they are still dangerous even if you are an expert or not so better to keep your hands off them for safety.
Safari guarantees satisfaction from both parties, the animals and the visitors as they can roam freely and you will get a chance to catch them in their natural habitat. Besides satisfaction, the safari tour can be a good educational approach for us too especially college kids and providing such experience to them will help to nurture the love towards animals and appreciation towards them too.
Best known in Sri Lanka & Nepal, their safari manage to attract thousands of visitors and tourists every year for their uniqueness and variety of species that they have in there. The ambiance and experience that they felt once they entered the place is absolutely priceless.
