Entrapdak is two people who are constantly used for what they can do and offered very conditional love providing that they do what helps the people that “care about them” and not who they are, realizing that the other isn’t like that. They love each other when they have nothing to offer but themselves.

Hordak didn’t have memories or any service to provide that any other clone couldn’t, but Entrapta still looked for him and reassured him he had a place beside her

Entrapta had no tech to fix or meaningful help to give but Hordak still refused to shoot her and turned on all he’d ever known for her

Neither of them had comprehended up to those points that anyone could want them for more than what they could provide. And it only makes their bond stronger and it’s beautiful

This is what I mean when I state that Hordak was the only person who truly respected her or appreciated her. Where the Rebellion saw a useful tool, Hordak saw a person.

LIKE??? THAT THING WAS CLOSE RANGE AND IT WAS GOING DIRECTLY AT HIM. IT COULD’VE BEEN A LETHAL SHOT (if it was a regular arrow, debatable). AND HE JUST. HE JUST CAUGHT IT MIDAIR. THEN SNAPPED THAT ARROW LIKE IT WAS NOTHING.

This scene confused me. Hordak breaking the arrow mid-air demonstrated that his new armor bestowed enhanced reflexes on him. However, we never see him demonstrate these quick reflexes in other combat scenes, such as his fight with Catra at the end of season 4. What gives?

For years, Hordak, who came from outer space, had to look up every night at a starless sky. A black darkness that must’ve only served to remind him how far he was from everything he used to know. I wonder if he missed them.

what do you think Hordak feels about wrong Hordak? I honestly see him being a little put off by him until Entrapta reassures him that's he's good.

I think that they have a complex relationship at the start but it gets better.

The problem, besides the obvious ‘Wrong Hordak is way too enthusiastic and would kinda throw off Hordak’ is that Hordak just went through hell for the last year or so. He was tortured, had his memories wiped twice, and was possessed. Added onto that, he hasn’t seen Entrapta in almost twice that time. His life has always been a mess, and finally after Prime is dead, literally all Hordak wants is some quiet and private where he can just be with Entrapta and shut out the weight of the world.

And then. There’s this guy. This other clone who is obsessed with following Entrapta around and seems to have the idea she’s his mother and she isn’t correcting him. They cannot get away from him and Hordak’s dream of have a moment alone with her is dying by the second.

Hordak would already be irritated by that, but a couple more things:

1.) Wrong Hordak is another clone, except he’s better than Hordak in every way. His body works, he’s kinder and more positive, everyone loves him, he got a better start to life. He is everything Hordak never got to be, you can’t even blame him for resenting Wrong Hordak, even if for a short time.

2.) Hordak enjoys his personal space (exception for Entrapta, who is free to get in his bubble whenever). And. I say this with absolute adoration of Wrong Hordak. He has NO concept of personal space or boundaries. You know he was constantly hugging or just stepping too close to Hordak, who doesn’t want to snap at him both because he’s trying to be better and because Entrapta loves that guy and he doesn’t want to sleep on the couch.

It would take a while, but what I picture in my head is that Wrong Hordak does get the cue but doesn’t let on that he does, and keeps trying to befriend him. At some point there’s a very said private conversation of “I’m sorry, I know you don’t like me…” and Hordak feels bad and it’s awkward. Because the thing is that Wrong Hordak 100% looks up to Hordak. In his eyes, Hordak killed Prime, he was the first clone to name himself, create individuality, fall in love, and just be someone. He’s his hero.

And with him (very strong headcanon) seeing Entrapta as a mom, I think Wrong Hordak was really hoping, especially after hearing about him for months from Entrapta, that Hordak would be a father figure to him.

Eventually I do believe that comes to fruition in some way or another. I think he lives with them and takes on the role of their son (he and Imp are the best brothers (they’ve committed so many crimes together)). After a while, Hordak would see through Wrong Hordak’s smile and realize that they share trauma, and that he genuinely does mean good. After that, he’s a good dad and they get along, they definitely bond over shared trauma.

(Sorry I’m yapping) What happens in my head to make them bond is after kinda warming up to one another, one night Wrong Hordak has a Prime-related nightmare and goes into a horrible panic attack, the worst one he’s ever had. Fully hyperventilating, sobbing, shaking, can hardly breathe. Imp runs to get their parents, and of course Entrapta is immediately comforting him, but after a while, through tears, he asks for Hordak instead. She’s surprised but leaves them alone, and this time Hordak lets Wrong Hordak cry into his arms and listens to him, because Hordak might be the only other person who truly understands this particular problem.

After that, Hordak steps up more and they become closer. Wrong Hordak will always be a mama’s boy, and Imp is always gonna be Hordak’s favorite, but they have a close bond.

I love their whole family.

But we expect human children to grow up in these conditions and literally blame them when they develop the exact type of problems that any creature under those conditions would

I don't know who my intended audience is here, so whoever needs to hear this, I am begging you to learn to participate in conversations that are about things you aren't interested in.

Part of socializing and having friends is being a good listener even when you don't actually give a shit about the subject.

Your are hurting other people's feelings when you bluntly respond with "Anyway..." and then change the topic.

It can not always be about your preferred topic.

You are being rude. Yes, even if you are neurodivergent. You can be both autistic and rude.

I would also like to add that a huge part of this is conversational balance. We all want to be heard and valued by our friends. What you offer by listening even if it isn't one of your favorite topics is allowing your friend to be heard in the way you would like to be heard when it's your turn.

Growing up, I was the black sheep with almost no shared interests with my peers. I learned that the only way to be included was to be the listener, and I learned this too well. The "anyway..." conversational shifts led me to believe no one cared or would care what I had to say, and my autistic fixations had to be enjoyed alone.

I don't regret my listening skills. At the same time, when I come across people who don't extend even a fraction of this back to me, it deeply hurts.

Please, if you find you have a hard time listening when it's not one of your preferred topics, it's worth the time to learn ways around that. Sometimes, there may be topics that are painful to try and pay attention to because they are so completely non-interesting. Still, giving a friend the space to share what's important to them is huge. You don't have to force talking about a boring subject for hours and hours to let someone feel like their interests matter. Even five minutes, ten minutes, makes a difference.

i've talked about the double standards in spop with Adora and Catra's abuse respectively, how Catra's trauma is taken seriously while Adora's is either brushed off or played as a joke.

and the same could apply to Hordak and Wrong Hordak. both of them were part of Horde Prime's cult and severely abused by him. sure, Wrong Hordak wasn't cast out for being a defect but that doesn't mean he was having a grand old time with Prime.

and yet, we are meant to sympathize with Hordak and cheer when he stands up to his abuser, but we're meant to laugh at Wrong Hordak when his entire worldview was broken, when he was having an existential crisis, and when he finally decides to rebel against Prime.
