My bf sent me this and it's so relatable
Despertador toca. Acordo. Levanto. Escovo os dentes. Tomo cafĂ©. Tomo meus remĂ©dios. Troco de roupas. Saio de casa. Pego o ĂŽnibus. Entro na escola. Sento na carteira. Olho para o professor. Sinal toca. Olho para outro professor. Sinal toca. Como meu lanche. Sinal toca. Olho para o professor. Sinal toca. Olho para outro professor. Sinal toca. Arrumo material. Saio da escola. Pego ĂŽnibus. Entro em casa. Preparo a comida. Almoço. Estudo. Crises de ansiedade. Celular toca. AlĂvio. Volto a estudar. Crises de ansiedade. Celular toca. AlĂvio. Estudo novamente. Celular toca. Tomo banho. Troco de roupa. Janto. Escovo os dentes. Reflito.
Choro. Durmo. O ciclo se repete.
I'm thinking about daily writing here about my feelings, sometimes I notice important things in my life but as I don't register anywhere, it just passes by.
I'm not very good at writing texts like this, but I'll try my best.
I will write in English and Portuguese (my main language)
what therapy doesnât fix my life for me after 1 session ??
today a kid at work climbing up a tree felt the need to tell his friend âthis tree is for ONLY BOYS and GIRLSâ. so obviously his friend was like um that means itâs for everyone, to which i responded âsome people arenât boys or girls!â and the boy climbing the branch added his hot take of âYEAH! some people are PIRATES.â

OMG THIS IS AMAZING DJSJJSSJJXJD
The ADHD auditory processing difficulties moodÂ
I donât have ADHD and canât speak for people who do, but this is a common enough experience that there is a psychological model of memory that attempts to explain it. The tl/dr is that part of your brain repeats speech that youâve just heard in a loop. So by the time youâve said âhuh?â your brain has already âheardâ the words again and processed them, so you are able to answer the question without needing it repeated.
Nope! Lots of people tend to experience this, yes, but itâs not a daily struggle in the same way it is for people with ADHD.
The working memory is actually something that people with ADHD struggle with, which is why we experience this so often! Because our brains donât store that information, like everyone elseâs does (there are two parts to the phonological store - one thatâs for storing the info, and one that loops it to help you process) and the loop takes longer to complete!
Everyone can relate to this occasionally, like they can with some adhd symptoms, but this is something that people with adhd struggle with daily, and itâs an actual struggle. If Neurotypical people could stop invalidating us in the notes of this post (and many others) by saying that the things we talk about are completely normal and arenât actually struggles, that would be great.
time management when you have adhd feels like this
Oh. My. God. Thatâs exactly it
Alternatively:
!!!!!!! YOUâRE RIGHT !!!!!!!
Or just âDawn of some day what time is it.â
May I present the third mood of time management w/ ADHD
YES!!!
this is probably my favorite post ever
