Literally every episode of My Cat from Hell
Neatly summarized as: people not knowing how to properly take care of cats
The episodes that don’t conform to this formula are also always the most interesting. These situations include:
1) I Didn’t Know My Cat Had PTSD and Has Gone Blind.
2) Your Cats Fight Because One of Them Doesn’t Know How to Speak Cat, and They’re Both Kinda Mad/Confused About It.
3) Your Cat Sprays Everywhere? Get Them Fixed. Surprise Twist: They Were Fixed But It Was a Botched Operation.
4) We’re Going to Rescue 50+ Kittens, Take Them to Vegas, and Adopt Them All To Loving Homes.
5) This is Not a Cat. This is a Dog.
@impuretale can you offer clarification on number 5 please?
like, do you mean literally or…?????????????????
Slight exaggeration! In this particular episode from one of the earlier seasons, the family in question was a mother and her grown daughter. The cat belonged to the grown daughter, and Jackson found the cat to be very much just a cat, and the behavior mom was complaining about was standard catting. What the problem actually happened to be was mom’s lap dog, who was poorly socialized and trained and did not know how to exist confidently when his mommy wasn’t holding and coddling him – so even if the cat just tried to play with the dog, it would become this huge issue. Mom was sure it was all the mean old cat’s doing and that there was nothing concerning about dog’s behavior. Jackson wound up bringing in a behaviorist who specialized in dogs to help the pooch graduate from furry terrified-of-everything lap ornament to equal occupier of the home.
