“I mean, your Nii-sama sure is… something.” Yuugi wondered when Mokuba would outgrow his obsession with Seto’s weird aesthetic. Everything that Seto did screamed overcompensation. “But, if you find him cool, who am I to judge? It’s good that you love him, so much. Makes me kind of jealous of Kaiba-kun, since he has someone who absolutely adores him.” Yuugi chuckled.
“And I’ve always seen you as you, Mokuba-kun. You’re not just Kaiba-kun’s little brother. After all, there’s no one else in the world who could be like you. There is only one you in all the universe. How could I not see you?”
It wasn’t often that someone actually complimented him like that. A genuine one. Not something forced or paid by his money. He had always felt like he was in his big brother’s shadow and would remain there, even if Seto wasn’t around anymore.
“I--” How was he supposed to respond to something like that?
He reached out to pull Yuugi into a firm hug, pressing his face into his shoulder. “This is why so many people love you. That you bring so many people close just by existing.” He wasn’t messing around anymore, his voice sincere.
“You can be jealous of me all you want but you really are something else.”
