headcanon time!!! i love when headcanons emerge from my brain the moment i want to sleep. la la la

okay so this is mainly a hc that is explaining why cyalm did all the stuff they did lmao

OKAY. so theres two routes that i have yet to completely settle on, being

A. they were always a god or

B. they were once mortal and got cursed through unforeseen circumstances

either path leads to the main reason i started typing this shii lmaoo.. which is the fact that. cyalm has to eat stars as both a way to gain more power/strength and also as sustenance. no stars = bad thing basically

this leads to them trying to amass large followings— simply put, cults ( yes. multiple across different dimensions ) and asking said followers to bring stars to them.

HOWEVER. i imagine that sometimes .. once in a blue moon .. rarely .. the multiple cults they have cannot supply them the stars they need. and, of course, this is bad! the solution?

they’re forced to destroy a dimension ( one that they have little to no influence in ) in order to consume their stars. it is .. not a very fun time for both parties involved ( cyalm, and the people living in said dimension obvi )

but what can they do? they need the stars, or they themselves will perish. but thankfully this has basically happened a grand total of .. less than three times! besides, cyalm prefers to keep dimensions intact so they can spread their influence and cultivate a cult there too! taking bit by bit their stars

as for the whole narrative thing? i have. no ideas for that lol but at least theres an explanation as to why you need to collect stars in the games!! ( cyalm’s hungry. lmao )

maybe in the future .. there’ll be a pt. 2 to this ramble ..

like , compale can control cold around them for little bit & are able to sense what direction they are without any compass , shallare & Ploque are capable to build anything as they have enough Materials ( machinery for shallare , wood related stuffs for ploque ) alongside with shallare being good at guiding any forests

signol can play any instruments in the world without any knowledge toward it , mino can communicate / hack into Mostly of electronics / ai

arrolin can communicate to many myth animals like dragons , unicorn , Minotaur ( similar to Disney princess lol )

ixol can sense People's emotions , cyalm can hide in cloud / sky as long as they want & with being able to sense / see every single part of sky emporium

hiya there! random hc i came up with, but you know how in af2 you can respawn after dying ( obviously .. )

my hc is that the title of “ second star saviour “ has been passed through a TON of people. of course, no one remembers this and everyone just thinks there’s only been one person to hold this title

basically the first candidate for the title of ss2 was some random fella that cyalm thought had the potential to be the official ss2 and essentially got plucked off the ground.

sadly, this guy doesn’t last long and when the dude finally dies? cyalm’s like “ oh. oh well. let’s just forget that ever happened and choose someone else to be the ss2 “

this leads to cyalm rewinding the clock, right before they decide to choose that first person and instead goes looking for another candidate instead!

which in turn becomes a cycle of picking someone to be ss2, them inevitably dying from the points’ obstacle courses then having to pick ANOTHER person again ..

after who knows how many loops, he finds the perfect candidate! someone who can .. seemingly come back from death unscatched. of course, this DELIGHTS cyalm, as they now don’t have to worry about having to find someone else.. again. they don’t question the ability this lucky person has, considering that at the end of the day it only benefits them further.

but i imagine after seeing so many ss2 candidates dying, they’d take extra precautions to make sure this one doesn’t. even if they can respawn .. that’s why there are those blue protection bubble things over you everytime respawn. huzzah. or maybe they check up on you every few hours or so during your adventure ..

this was a long one.. had no idea how to explain in simple short terms :P
