[ a bell falls at your doorstep. then another. another, and another, and eventually, theres a small heap of them sitting there. its strange, to say the very least. they're the same bright yellow of hOnks. ]

( pikes pacing comes to a stop at the familiar jingle, and he walks up to the door. )

whos.. ..hOnk??

( he opens the door. no ones there. he looks around, spotting the bells. )

( he looks around for a source, right hand grabbing for his axe. )

whos there? what do you want?

[ more fall, just an endless waterfall, before ceasing for a moment. eventually, they start flickering, emerging out of the puddle of them to form... something. hOnk. ]

( he immediately grabs hym by the shoulders, prepared to swing, but he blinks. pikes eyes study hym for a moment, confused. the axe stutters in his hands slightly, but doesnt drop. )

( his ear twitches, gears clicking in his brain. he moves his hand to hold hOnks face, gently tilting it side to side to clock his realization. the hand with the axe drops further, yet not fully. )

.,...hOnk? is that you?
