Coyotes, and Foxes, and Wolves oh my!

Unfortunately this Blog will be discontinued.

As much as I have loved working at the CWWC, unfortunately my time as a volunteer there has ended.  

I will be attending a funeral on the East Coast, and I was unable to find coverage for my volunteer times at the Center for the dates that I would be gone.  So, understandably, they had to let me go as a volunteer.  

As much as it hurts to leave that place, I understand why the decision was made, and I don't hate them at all for it.  To you my followers, I apologize however.  I know a lot of you love the photos I put up here of the critters at the center, and I'll do my best to try to get more from the CWWC Facebook page.  But as for my personal interactions with the critters.. those will be no more.  

Thank you to all the followers who kept this blog going so well.  I really appreciate you all.

I’ll name the foxes in order, or try to, sometimes they’re hard to tell apart. In order of pictures:

Arnold was pretty brave today, usually Dusty is the only one that gets close.

Also, I promise I didn’t hit him at the end of the video, I just moved my hand over the food bowl and he jumped back. Swiftys are very skittish.

Took Keyni on a walk again today, and of course he wanted to walk nowhere but the deep snow. Silly pup.

Had a great day at the Center today! Took Keyni for a walk, and fed the Swiftys. We had about 8 inches in the ground, and Keyni had a blast rooting around and finding old elk hides and ribs in the snow. The last picture is the Swift Fox dinner for today, steak, and miceicles.

Na’vi and Tala having a snuggle in the first photo.  Na’vi is the bigger black one, Tala the smaller grey one.

The second Photo is Yuma and Nevada. Nevada, the white and red, is one of Yumas kits.  I’m assuming he’s showing his daughter some affection for how purdy she is.  Nevada is a Red fox like her father, both rescued form a fur farm where they dyed Nevada’s fur to make her look like an Arctic Fox.

Keyni, Kekoa, and Sakara.  Keyni is the black one, Kekoa is the larger grey one he’s playing with, and Sakara is the small female pacing at the front of the enclosure.

Our Family of Swift Fox, Tobi, Dusty, and Chikita.  Arnold would be out too, but he never seems to leave the den.
