Is Georgetown a religious school?

Yes! It's Catholic in the Jesuit tradition but culturally it's hardly recognizable as a Catholic institution.

Shoutout to the people who are traumatized by an event that didn’t bother them at first By something that they didn’t realize hurt them By something that happened when they were young and naive and didn’t know what to do so they forced the memory out of their head By something that only started affecting them recently You are valid and I love you

to high school seniors, and anyone applying to college: as someone who is about to begin their freshman year of college, and who had spent 3.5 years of high school (almost all of it) obsessing over getting into a good school for the prestige and recognition, it isn’t worth it. 

pick your school because you love it, pick it because it has programs you like, pick your school because it has the best food in the country, but don’t pick it because you think other people will be impressed. you won’t be happy there if you don’t love something else about it too, and going through life with the sole purpose of trying to create an image of intelligence and status is no way to live, now is it?

pick your school because it makes you happy to be there.

Heey!! Did u ever get a C in your entire high school career? I've gotten 2 and I'm scared I won't get into Georgetown :((

I did not. I got all A's and one A- BUT my best friend was (in her own words) no where near the top of her class and had very average test scores, but she got in and she thinks it was because of her essays. It's an obstacle for sure, but don't let it discourage you from applying!
