Hey, just wanted to check up on you and make sure you were alright, you haven’t been posting as much :^(

Hey there!

I’m really sorry for the late reply– truth be told, things have been pretty hectic for me irl right now, so I haven’t been on tumblr a lot. To anyone who I haven’t been able to reply to recently: apologies for my absence and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

For those of you who don’t know me in meatspace, I figure I should give a quick update as to why I’ve kinda ghosted these past few months.

My seizures have increased in frequency to about once a week. I’m now at a point where I’ve had to seek disability accommodations from my university and start applying for a service dog. A lot of my time and energy have been going to dealing with my illness and it’s been very difficult for me to answer messages across all of my social media platforms, which is why I really haven’t been on here or Discord as much as I’d like to be. 

I’ve taken a major step back from my writing for the moment– as much as I would love to keep up my old update schedule, I haven’t had the physical energy to spare a lot of the time. There are still days where I can’t walk, or where I spend up to six hours at a stretch stuck in the campus clinic convulsing. I’ve gone to the ER more times than I’d like to think about. As you can imagine, this kind of gets in the way of doing the writing thing, especially because I still have my classes to keep up with as well.

I still love writing for y’all and interacting with everyone on here, so I do intend to keep checking up on this blog periodically and writing when I have the time. I’m working on chapter 9 of StarPoc, but as you can imagine, it’s been taking a while, especially with finals fast approaching at my university. I’m gonna have to ask y’all to bear with me as I work everything out on my end.

I don’t know if or when I’ll be back to posting on here as much as I used to, and for that I apologize. I do intend to finish my ongoing fics, however, so keep an eye out for that! 

Once again, I’d like to thank everyone for their understanding and support. Sendin’ good vibes to everyone as the school year draws to a close <3

Life and Writing Updates!

Hey y'all!

I know I haven’t been answering messages on here or on my main as much lately, so I figured that I’d give you guys an update on what’s been going on for me in meatspace and writing-wise. I’ll reply to DMs and asks as soon as I can, but it might take a few days for me to get to everyone!

To summarize the main points of this post: 1. My body is not doing great, but we are working on it! 2. I will be leaving Eddsworld after finishing StarPoc and TTB in order to move on to other fandoms and work on a large original project! 3. Road trip!

As some of y'all might know, I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my nervous system lately– I’ve been having severe seizures on and off for about a year now, but the intensity and frequency has ramped up in the past few months, leaving me physically and mentally fatigued. I’m going in for another round of brain scans soon and ideally will have some answers as to what’s been going on by next month, but in the meantime I’m bearing through and prioritizing my health and classwork. Thanks as always are owed to the amazing @jinxedlucky for supporting me as I navigate the medical system and for making me laugh in the clinic waiting room every time; they’re really the best support I could ever ask for. Additional thanks are owed to all of the amazing people who follow me here and who talk with me on Discord– you know who you are, and thank you so much for keeping my spirits up these past few months. Y'all mean the world to me.

As you can probably guess from that, my priorities have been shifting away from my writing and my tumblr to focus more on dealing with college and my physical health. I’m gonna have to beg for your patience in responding to messages/comments/asks for a while, but I promise that I’ll be back as soon as I’ve got those two things under control.

Speaking of writing, most of y'all probably know that I’ve been meaning to move on from EW for the past few months– I’ve met some pretty incredible people and had a lot of fun in this fandom, but I feel like I’m reaching the end of what I want to write in this universe and am looking forward to expand the scope of my writing further. I don’t intend to leave either of my two major works (The Starboy Apocrypha and Tick, Tick, Boom!) unfinished, so expect the last few chapters of StarPoc and the final act of TTB to be coming out sometime before the summer! My goal is to finish TTB before the end of my freshman year of college, but if health concerns push that date back further, so be it. I’ll post a much longer thank-you to some of my friends in this fandom when I finish off my last fic.

My current writing queue is as follows: 1. Finishing off StarPoc and releasing a list of referenced works 2. My story for the Welcome to Hell Big Bang! I can’t release any details on the plot yet, but I’m very excited to see how it comes out and will post more information once I get matched with an artist! 3. The final act of TTB, followed by a post with my thank-yous to the EW fandom. This will be my last work for EW. 4. A Homestuck oneshot that I’ve been keeping on the back burner for a bit– I want to pay tribute to the fandom that has shaped me most as a writer and this seems like a good time to do it! 5. A series of short original fiction/poetry pieces meant to fill out my creative writing portfolio as I move up in my college’s writing program 6. A larger webcomic series that I’ve been planning for a few months now!

I’m extremely hype to start transitioning back into original fiction again and hope that some of y'all will stick around for the ride!

Finally, G and I are headed out on a weeklong road trip to Texas (long story) and will likely not be answering messages too often while we’re on the road. If anything urgent comes up and you need to reach me, either message me on Discord or shoot G a DM on here asking for me. I’ll be posting plenty of pictures and road trip updates when we have internet access and time!

I want to thank you all for sticking with me as I continue to work towards repairing my physical health and moving forwards as a writer. Y'all are some of the coolest readers that I could ever ask for and you’ve made this chaotic internet journey entirely worthwhile.

Afraid not, friend. I couldn’t figure out how to find saltiestblueberry, so I made sure to link them in the description of my fic on AO3 and to list my work as being based on theirs– in addition to affiliating the fic, I listed the original as one of the fandom tags. Best I could do.

i’m rewriting Dear Starboy

Specifically, a redux/spin-off that includes more character backstory, more side characters, new content, revamped writing, and new twists/turns while still remaining true to the skeleton of the original. Some plot points and elements are the same, some are very different; you’ll have to read to find out. ;9

Check out DSB (The Redux) here! First chapter is up, its a bit short but meant to be introductory more than anything. Second chapter will be published in the next few days and I’ll constantly be posting updates!
