          she smiled at him, hand hovering over the seat before her as she had GLANCED at the novel he had been reading. the smell of food lingered within the air, followed by the aroma of coffee, a beverage she had found herself NEEDING after pulling an all nighter to unpack her apartment off campus. yet as fate would have it, as she had nearly passed him by, the notice of the novel within his hand had stopped her in her tracks. it was not often that she found someone who liked to read similarly to herself, but especially in a STRANGER which of whom was reading the same exact read she had just started. with sparkling eyes, she shifted her large purse, pulling out the novel that had the same    𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃.

     ❝  a pleasure to meet you,    𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍,   my name is    𝐆𝐖𝐄𝐍 𝐊𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐄. ❞   she stated simply, before putting the novel on the table to take hold of his hand for a light shake.  ❝  i also apologies for INTRUPPTING your reading session, it’s just that normally where i come from, people tend to IGNORE the classics which is why i got excited for a moment. should i let you get back to your reading or does your table have room for one more after i grab myself a drink  ?  if you want, i am more then WILLING to get you one as well. ❞

         mulan pouted in his direction, eyes blinking as she tried to give him an INNOCENT look in order to convince him to tell her    𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒.    in truth, she was excited, for this holiday was not one she had ever CELEBRATED before and she was curious about the customs for all she had for refences were the holiday moves that streamed. part of her wondered if she should get him something in return, but was UNSURE of what it was that she should be giving him to help celebrate the night revolving around a tree.

          ever instinct in her told her to run, yet there was something that was CAPTIVATING about his mere presence alone.  perhaps it was his attire that drew her gaze, the fabric alone was not one she had    𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄.    in the small of her village, flashes of memory took hold as she remembered her father EXPLAINING how one could spot a leader, for they moved differently then the followers around them. each step would be taken with precise grace, each glance around NOTING their surroundings before making their next move.

     ❝  i do not understand, ❞   mulan confessed as her brows came together in CONFUSION as she stared at the maiden before her. in truth, she had no understanding of what was SEXY and what was not, for she was not one to have felt such feelings for any before. on most days, she trained herself and her mind, her education going towards    𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐆𝐄   rather then focusing in on a potential partner, let alone giving much thought to their red flags.

          she was unsure of how it was he had won her FAVOR enough to trust him alone in a room, yet she stood there by the window watching as her small dragon HUFFED smoke out of it’s nose as it sniffed the meat. it’s scales SHINED within the sunlight, the   𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆   with movement as it lazily lapped up the small chopped pieces. fingers trailed along the spine of the creature, petting it is as if it were a cat instead of a creature of long since FORGOTTEN magic. 

            long has she since shed the cloak that now hung on the backside of a chair. instead a dress of fine silk adorned her, long hair now fallen loose upon her shoulder and backside. she had tried to dress in something more PLAIN, but in her haste to run she only could grab what was in her closet at the time, her    𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒.    yet the more she spent with the young prince, the more she came to realize he could see much more then what she had tried to PRESENT herself with, his very tongue dripping with WISDOM beyond his years.

𝐃𝐀𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐘𝐄𝐍:

This girl was a curious one that she had got her hands on, of course the visitors that she got usually did try to intrigue her in some way or form. Mulan painted such fantastical pictures about different things that she knew of. It occurred to her though as she lead the girl to a more private place that she never thought of flames as dancing around merely swaying, she supposed dancing was probably more accurate.

“There is nothing wrong with having a little fantasy in your life, Mulan, but you do want to make sure that you also remain grounded so that people cannot take advantage of you.” 

Once they were safely in her study she closed the doors behind them and pulled Mulan towards her desk where there were already lit candles. Daenerys shot Mulan a small smile before she held her hand above one of the flames for longer than your average person would. She made no real face of pain or discomfort before showing Mulan her unburnt hand. 

“I try not to show it off.” 

     ❝  what do you mean of fantasy  ? ❞   she asked softly, as she was being led. her eyes took in her SUROUNDINGS, though she listened closely to the warning given by the young queen.  ❝  there have been many who have taken ADVANTAGE of what it is i can do.    𝐌𝐘 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌.   to him i was a weapon to be used in battle, to further his power and gain advantage over his enemies. it also did not help too i was the only female to hold the power i did, though there have been many who did not LIVE passed their attempts. ❞

         taking in a breath, her head tilted slightly in CURIOSITY as she moved towards the desk, her grip soon released in favor of show. bending slightly, she leaned forward,    𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐀𝐙𝐄   as she watched daenarys’ hand hover above the open candle FLAME. for a moment’s breath, she wondered if she should move to stop her, when she realized that no harm came to the targaryen. 

         blinking, her lips slowly began to spread into that of a grin, before she herself reached out to put the palm of her hand into the fire. no smell came forward, the flames moving around her own flesh in a FLICKERING motion as her eyes locked with the other,   ❝  𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐄.  ❞   mulan confessed softly, before pulling back to reveal her palm, showing no marks.    ❝  you are the first to know of this, other then my father. so please, do not feel as if you are showing off, i feel HONORED to both share this with you and for you to allow me in to see your own talents. ❞  pausing, her head tilted even more to the side as a eyes narrowed in thought. 

     ❝  but unlike you, i do not have a connection to the dragons, instead because of the way my father was    𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃. ❞
