2am fragrantica yearning

someone on vinted just asked me if I’d sell something for £11.30… what’s that 30p doing there why have they given such a bizarrely specific number

#checked their profile and they have 5 star reviews from buying other things #so no other weird vibes #but…

bought some sewing needles and mended the rip in my partner’s shirt and finally got a darning needle to weave the ends of my knitting projects in properly and took care of those :)

#two new skills!

keep feeling this sense of impending doom and panic out of nowhere and everything hits me like a tonne of bricks. I wish there was better support out there for disabled/chronically ill folks who get made redundant

#I can't look for a job right now because I'm still so unwell #and just. waiting for surgery #that may or may not help lol. hm :(#I feel so trapped at this point #and I keep making myself feel bad and like I'm faking it all because I *was* working #but I could only work because it was remote and there was enough downtime that I had entire days with very little to do #and could just lie down and rest #how the hell am I ever going to find that again

went outside on my own for the first time since late february this afternoon!!! posted the things I sold on vinted and on my walk back had a conversation with someone going the same way :)

picked the bigger cotton-linen blend sophie scarf I started a few months ago back up today and am making good progress ! got a bundle of different yarns for £3 on vinted that I’m excited to experiment with. picking the dyes I want to use for my dyeing projects… thinking about learning how to make chainmail :)

I don't know if I'll ever seriously study Finnish the way I did as a teenager again but I do still really enjoy learning vocabulary and phrases (I follow a couple of Finns on ig) and reading etymologies... thinking about the beautiful words luonto (nature) and helmi (pearl)

#I don't doubt I'll go through some more intense learning periods if I go there again #but otherwise...

palpable awkwardness at the tram stop today because me and a lad on the other side were wearing the exact same outfit and were both very aware of it just like this across the tracks 👁️👁️ until we got on our respective trams

#no wonder I can't even reach a manageable new normal when the rest of my body is going insane

I wish I could embrace the so-called funemployment phase but I'm still pretty confined to home with pain which truthfully is making this whole thing feel worse. but! fingers crossed for some improvement because I feel owed a good few days wandering aimlessly around the city enjoying museums on weekdays
