Dark!Valarr Targaryen x Valyrian (oc) pt. 1/2
In which Valarr intends to keep his bloodline alive no matter the cost
TW: age-gap, power imbalance, sexual assault, obsession, violence, death, childbirth. I don’t think I’m missing anything else.
Prince Valarr Targaryen was much like his father Prince Baelor. He was intelligent, kind and generous. A trait brown haired Targaryen princes seemed to have. And for men like them it never turned out right. When he married Lady Kiera everyone thought the lady would soon find herself with child. But, as the moons came and went no child came. Every pregnancy ended with stillbirths or early births.
Prince Baelor told his son that when the time was right a child would come and as his ever understanding son, Prince Valarr would nod and pretend he believed him. Valarr was not a bad man but the pressure of the court and kingdom to secure his line of succession was too much to bear.
Despite his situation Prince Valarr remained calm, at least in front of the realm and his lady wife. He loved Lady Kiera, at least that's what he told himself. The match had not been one of love but one of duty. He hoped that with time the two might come to love one another and it had begun like that, not love just yet but friendship and care. But, with every failed pregnancy their relationship began to crack. If one more failed pregnancy were to happen, Prince Valarr was sure it would all break, leaving no room to fix the broken heart.
In the busy halls of the Red Keep, Elianne made her rounds, keeping the rooms clean, tidying up the rooms, washing the clothes, dishes, other times folding laundry. Her days started early and more often than not they were far too busy for her to have time for herself.
Elianne was an orphan, she had been there for as long as she could remember. She had been born in Lys, that's what they had told her. Ronal the woman that she called her mother had told her, her parents were of Valyrian descent. She did not elaborate beyond that. Although both Prince Valarr and Elianne had lived in the same castle all their lives, they had never crossed each other's paths. Not even when she would keep his room and clothes clean. Other times she would bring him dinner, lunch or his fast. But even then, they never managed to meet each other. Both young and dutiful in their own ways. One to the kingdom and one to the crown. But one night, everything change. For the both of them.
Prince Valarr was done with meeting for the day. The young prince felt exhausted from hearing the same question every meeting. "Is lady Kiera with child yet?". Valarr would smile and say not yet. "Soon". Soon never truly came for them, and when it did, it was brief if they were lucky enough.
He walked the halls, guards, lords and maids walking around him. As he turned the corner he collided with something, or rather someone. Elianne yelped as the clean sheets flew from her arms as she collided with someone and nearly fell. She thought it was a lord or a guard perhaps. "I'm so sorry, my-" when she looked up she did not see a guard or a lord. She came face to face with Prince Valarr. She had never met him nor even seen him. But, she had heard or him and the rumors were as true as she had heard. "I apologize my Prince, I did not mean to-" he held her up, making sure she would not fall. He shook his head. "No harm done, my lady" she smiled at him. "Thank you, my prince but I am no lady" the first thing he noticed when he got a good look at her face were her lilac eyes. They were not light nor dark, just the perfect in between.
He seemed lost on them for a moment. She kneeled down to pick up the sheets. She gave him a small bow. "Once again, I apologize my prince. And thank you" Valarr nodded. As began her way back to where she came home. "What is your name?" he asked. She stopped walking. "Elianne, my prince" he nodded once more, this time letting her go.
After their first encounter, Valarr looked for those lilacs eyes all around the castle. Every maid or lady he saw, he looked for those eyes. It was three moons later when he saw her again. This time, in his private room. She was finishing the last touches of his bed, fresh sheets that smelled of lemon and lavender. It had been her who began to bring those calming scents into his room.
When she turned, he was standing there, some feet away from her. She jumped and let out a loud gasp before giggling. "My apologies, my prince. You startled me" she nodded, a small smile appearing on his lips. "My apologies, my lady" she nodded. "Elianne, my prince. I am no lady" his head tilted to the side. "Very well, Elianne" she left his room seconds later.
Prince Valarr began to request her service far too often. Ronal, her mother warn her to stay away from him. "How can I?" Elianne asked. "He has requested me. I cannot deny it" she added. "I know you can't. But, keep your distance. He's still a prince and you a young lady" Elianne did not think he meant anything bad. Perhaps she was simply that good of a maid. It often happened with other royal members. Prince Daeron requested her often as well. But, he only wanted a friend, someone who did not yell nor judged him.
Moons came and went, Elianne remained by Prince Valarr's side through another failed pregnancy. She became a friend. Sometimes, he would send for her at night with the excuse of wanting warm tea or a late night dessert. She complied as a dutiful maid. He spoke of his fear or never being a father. "Everyday I hear the whispers. They ask the same questions. 'Is lady Kiera with child?' How far is she?' It must not be the right time?'. It's the same every time" she did not speak but she listened.
Valarr looked tired. "I think lady Kiera is not a fault. Sometimes, pregnancy takes time and patience. And for the lords, the realm always asks for stability, my prince. It is irritating and uncomfortable when they ask the questions but they want to know. They want certainty for the future of the crown" Valarr sometimes wonders how she could be so well spoken for someone of her station. She was smart, talkative and very polite. "I know. Yet, it irks me when they ask" she nodded. "I think, perhaps you and lady Kiera should take a break from court" she offered. "Perhaps spend sometime in Dragonstone. Away from the prying eyes of the court" Valarr looked at her. He did not wish to be away from her.
It had been almost a year since they met. Half of that they spent getting to know each other. Or rather her him. He asked questions, she kept them short but polite. She was trying to listen to her mother's warnings about getting too close to a Targaryen Prince. He listened to her words and planned a trip to Dragonstone. Problem was, he wanted her to go as well. "My prince, I cannot go with you. My place is here, in King's Landing" she tried to explained but he was not having it. "You serve me, correct?" she nodded. "Well, your prince commands you to travel to Dragonstone with him" his tone left no room to argue. She bowed and nodded. "Yes, my prince" and that was that.
Dragonstone was beautiful. She had never been, this was the first time she had set foot on the island. As before, she served Prince Valarr, only this time Lady Kiera was there as well. She would bring them tea and any dessert they desired. The two of them seemed more calm and relaxed than before. Their time there was perfect, but not for long. Lady Kiera was pregnant once more. This was her fourth pregnancy. Prince Valarr said nothing, he sent no raven, he asked the maester to keep the pregnancy between them. He only trusted Elianne to keep Lady Kiera company and to make sure she was eating everything the maester told her to. Four moons in, when her belly began to swell, everything seemed to be going perfect until she lost the baby once more. And the mirror finally cracked.
Prince Valarr said nothing. He did not yell nor did he say anything about the situation. He simply stopped caring. Elianne kept Lady Kiera company. She tried to cheered her up and most days it worked. "I think he hates me" Lady Kiera said in a whisper. Elianne tried her best to comfort her. "I do not think the Prince hates you, my lady. I think the pressure of the realm for an heir weighs far too heavy on his shoulder. As it does for you. You were expected to deliver a healthy babe for the prince and the realm as soon as you married. I don't think that was fair" Lady Kiera was shocked to hear someone of Elianne's station speak so truthfully about her situation.
Lady Kiera looked at Elianne, she saw the eyes, the brow hair. The idea came to her far too fast. "Will you find my husband?" Elianne was confused about the subject change but she nodded, excusing herself. She found him in the throne room. She walked him back and she was soon excused. She did not hear from Valarr nor his lady wife for the rest of the day. She was called a night later into their chambers. The two were sitting down. Valarr on a chair and Lady Kiera on the bed. "My prince, lady Kiera" she greeted. "Elianne, please sit" Elianne felt something was off. Days ago Lady Kiera and Valarr could not see each other in the eye and now they kept glancing at each other every chance they got.
She sat down looking between the prince and his lady wife. "We've called you here tonight because we need something from you" Valarr began and she nodded. "As you know, my wife and I have been trying for a child. We have not been able to achieve that. So, we had an idea. Someone who can carry that child for us. We will pass the babe as ours. Hers and mine" Elianne sat still. She made no noise, she thought she was not breathing by the way no sound came from her. "And you'd like for me to find someone for that task?" Valarr smiled. How naive she was. Lady Kiera looked down, she felt guilty. She would be setting Elianne up for a life full of pain and suffering.
He shook his head. "No, Elianne. We have found her already" that confused the lady even more. "So what do you need me for then?" she asked, trying to figure out what was going on. "You will be that lady, Elianne" Valarr's words landed on her like a bucket of cold water. She stood up, far too quickly and fast. She began to walk backwards, reaching for the door. To her horror the door was locked. She began to pound on the door. Hard and loud, she knew the guards were there. Two were there when she arrived and one had brought her to the princes chambers.
She turned to Valarr. "My prince, please" she begged as the tears began to roll down her cheeks. She didn't know when he had made it over to her. He placed his hands on her face, wiping away her tears. "It's okay, darling. I promise I'll be gentle" she shook her head. "Please, my prince. I'm just a girl" she begged. And she was just a girl. Valarr was twenty, lady Kiera one and twenty. And Elianne, poor Elianne had just turned ten and three. "I promise I'll take care of you" Elianne knew then, there was nothing she could do help herself.
Valarr pulled her to the bed. Lady Kiera watched the whole ordeal happen, the guilt sat in her chest. How could she do this to a young girl? The whole thing had been her idea. She had seen Valarr eye the girl when he thought no one was looking. How he spoke softly to her. How he preferred Elianne's company to her own. And with the guilt, sat the jealousy. Elianne tried to fight him off, but Lady Kiera held her down. "I'm sorry, Elianne. But, we must do this for the crown. The crown thanks you for your service. Valarr and I thank you for your service" all Elianne could do was cry as her innocence was being stolen from her. Nothing would ever be the same for her. And if she thought after the babe was born she would be free, how wrong she would come to be.
Elianne was kept away in a tower by Prince Valarr and his wife. He had threatened her mother, telling her that if she tried to escape it would be Ronal who would pay the price. Elianne went from taking care of the prince and his wife, to being taken care of by the both of them. That's how Valarr and Kiera found out she would dye her hair brown. She had silver hair. She looked like a true Targaryen. Perfect. Valarr found that perfect. His children would look like true Targaryens. Valarr's dream came true one spring day. Exactly nine months after everything started. She wasn't even four and ten yet.
Elianne gave birth to a son. A boy. She looked at Valarr, how softly he held her son. His son. She knew she could never claim him as such. He turned to her. He kissed her lips, softly, kindly. As if he had not forced her into this life. "Thank you, my lady, for blessing me with a son" the boy had his hair for what little he could see. But when he opened his eyes, Elianne's eyes were staring back at him and Valarr could not have been more proud.
Lady Kiera did not come to see her. But, she had taken the babe to her private chambers. She held the boy as if she had given birth to him. Elianne laid in her bed. She thought now that she had given him a son perhaps he could leave her be. Hours later, he returned with the boy so she could feed him. Valarr watched her feed the boy. A son. He could not believe it. The news had probably reached King's Landing. His father's letter was probably on the way to him already.
Valarr did not leave her that night. Nor the night after that. Or any other night after that. He remained by her side the entire stay in Dragonstone. By the time he returned to King's Landing another son had been born. He was just three months old. Lady Kiera acted like the loveliest mother in front of the realm but, behind closed doors, it was Elianne who cared for the children. And it seemed perfect. As Valarr's maid, she was "trusted" to care for his two children getting her own chamber with the two boys. And finally, the realm was at peace. Prince Valarr had the heir and the spare.
Prince Baelor had asked him one night. The question had been eating at him since Valarr had written to him that he had a son. He never said if Kiera was fine afterwards. Maekar and Baelor sat as Valarr entered the hand's room. The question lingered for a moment. "I did what I had to do to ensure my line prevails" it was not a straight answer. He did not reply. "Valarr, Lady Kiera rarely spends time with the children, it's always the servant that sees to them" his father added. Valarr smiled. "Worried not, father. My sons are in good hands. It does not matter if Kiera loves them or not" he added before excusing himself. He scoffed as he made his way to the boys room. He felt angry. Why was his father questioning him now? He had the sons everyone asked him for. What else could he wan?
The room was warn. Elianne had her youngest in her arms while her eldest sat by the fire playing with his wooded dragons and knights. She greeted him and helped him undress. The only difference this time was it was more forced than before. Her life was now very dishonest. This whole ordeal was a farce. A narrative created by the prince. By the one friend she trusted. He had betrayed her and nothing would ever be the same.
Elianne saw his face. Eyes burning hot and jaw clenching. "What is the matter, my prince?" she asked carefully. "It's my father. He asks why Kiera won't spend time with the children. Why does it matter?" he asked. "I have the sons I've always wanted. The sons the realm wanted" he replied. "Is that not enough?" Valarr looked at her for an answer. "I think your father wants Lady Kiera to be more involved in the raising of the children" Valarr looked at her, his eyes not leaving hers. He stood, he was in front of her in two steps. He held her by the neck, softly not hard.
Elianne stood perfectly still. She did not dare to speak or breathe. "Will you give me another son?" he asked softly. She did not reply. "Perhaps a daughter?" he asked once more, this time his grip of her neck tightened. She nodded. "Whatever you want, my prince" she replied with a shaky voice. "I told you, when we're alone you can call me Valarr. Or husband if you preferred" he paused. "Actually, call me husband instead" Elianne nodded. "Yes, husband" he smiled then, letting go off her. They stood in silence for a moment before he kissed her. "Put the children to bed. And then come to bed" she nodded.
Elianne did as she was told. Valarr waited for her on the bed. He didn't fuck her often. Most of the time, they just slept. He liked having her in his arms. It was comfort, something he did not have with Kiera. His wife, Lady Kiera, stopped expecting him in her bed long ago. He came to her every other night, but nothing ever came of it, even when they tried for a child of their own. The babe never made it past a few months. Prince Valarr had come to understand that Lady Kiera would never give him a son or a daughter.
As the night passed, Elianne laid awake. Valarr laid on her chest. He looked kind as he slept. He looked the same way he did when they became friends. His face was soft, without worry. She had missed the man she knew before this madness. How did everything turn out the way it did? When did it go wrong? Why? That night, she fell asleep hours later. In her dream was Daeron. Her once friend. He was sitting down in his favorite chair. His room was dark, the only source of light was the fire burning low. He drank his wine as he watched the fire dance. When she approached him, he finally looked up. He looked different. He's hair was done, he was clean, his small beard was gone. He looked the same yet different at the same time.
He gave her a sad smile. "You are in the dragon's den now," she tilted her head. "What?" she asked. "The dragon has his claws on you" she walked closer. "My prince. What are you on about?" she asked. "You will give him many children. Your son and daughter will be the rulers of the Seven Kingdoms. From their blood will come the prince that was promised. And hers will be the song of Ice and Fire" Elianne was confused. She did not know what any of his words meant. "I don't know what you mean" she stated. He smiled once more. But it was not a happy one. It was a melancholic smile. "I'm sorry" was all she said before she woke. The sun was barely coming out. Valarr was still asleep. She got out of bed, quietly and slowly, careful not to wake him. She got his clothes ready. She had gone out to get his breakfast for the day. On her way from the kitchen, she encountered Daeron. The two stopped and stared at each other. There were no words said but there was this understanding between the two of them.
When she returned, Valarr was awake and just finishing getting ready for his day. He smiled when he saw her, and she did as well. She missed the friend she met some years ago. "Good morning, husband. I brought you breakfast" Valarr smiled. She was finally doing what he wanted. She had called him her husband. She set the food down, checking on the children. They were awake, waiting for their mother to come see them. She had changed them, and the four of them ate breakfast. He often had his breakfast with his children and his lover. She was feeding the youngest boy, when she looked over to Valarr he was already looking at her and smiling. "I had a dream last night" he began. "What did you dream about?" he looked at the two boys. "I dreamt you were pregnant. You gave birth to a daughter. She had your hair and mismatched eyes. One green and one purple" she smiled and for a moment she had imagined it. A life where she had a daughter. She was afraid of having a girl because, what if she could no protect her? She did not want for her daughter to suffer the same fate as she did.
She looked at Valarr. "Husband, I have never asked you for anything. But now, I wished to ask you for something" he nodded. "Whatever you want, my darling" she nodded. "If we ever have daughters, promise me you will always protect our daughters? That no harm will ever come to them? And if one day they must marry, you will find them matches that love them or if they cannot love them, then they can at least care for them and protect them?" Valarr was taken aback by her request but he saw the love she had for the daughters who were not born yet. Elianne had resigned on trying to leave the hands of the prince. She knew she could never escape him. He would hurt her mother and the people she cared about. Now, she was tied to him until the end of their days.
He stood up and walked over to her. He knelt in front of her. He looked at her, his mismatched eyes staring right into her lilac eyes. "I will always protect our children" he caressed her hair before kissing her. That night, the prince took his wife, his children and their maid to Dragonstone. He had to see his trusted maester. He told her Elianne was with child once again. Prince Valarr thought it was a girl as he had dreamt of it some nights ago. Elianne told herself she had to get herself together. Being the Prince's mistress was now her new role. Her new life. She knew that he did not love her. She was just a baby making machine for the prince. He wanted the children that crown needed for him to suceed as the future king. So, she tried to look at the brigthside of it. Her son would be king one day, and if what Daeron said was true, her daughter would be queen one day too.
As the months came and left in Dragonstone, one early summer morning, two daughters were born. The labor had been long but much easier than the first two. Two daughters. She had cried when she was told they were girls. And she cried even harder when she got to hold them. Her eldest son, Baelon was named after his grandfather. And Jaehaerys was named after the wise king. The girls she got to pick their name. Her eldest she named her Visenya after the warrior queen. Her youngest she named her Alyssa as she had the mismatched eyes. Valarr remained in Dragonstone for six months before returning to King's Landing. When he returned he informed his father about the new addition to his growing family. Prince Baelor watched Lady Kiera. She barely held the girls before handing them back to the children's maid.
Baelor's mind began to race. The children did not resemble lady Kiera, but they did look like their maid. So, he began to watch. Valarr rarely made it to Kiera's room. He barely spoke to her at dinner or any other thing. The two played their part but nothing else. The friendliness and care they had for one another was not gone, replaced with an empty shell of what they used to be. He approached her one night. "Pardon me, my lady" Elianne stopped. "Prince Baelor" she curtsy as she turned to face him. "May I have a word, my lady" he looked serious. She knew it was not a question. She nodded. The solar was cold, it was late at night, the fire ran low, only a few flames were still dancing.
Elianne kept her eyes down. She did not want to meet his eyes. "You take care of my grandsons very dutifully" she nodded. "It is an honor to be trusted with such important people, my prince" she replied, her eyes still everywhere but up. "Do you love them?" she did not look up. Her head remained low. "The are not mine to love, my prince. I do not deserve such love. And they do not deserve to be loved by someone of low station" she replied. She closed her eyes. She did not want to cry nor did she want him to know that despite the way they were conceived, she loved her children. They came from her. From her strength, her rage, her anger and her love. "I do not think there is something wrong with loving or caring for the people you take care of" she shook her head.
She took a deep breath. "I only do what is commanded of me, my prince. It is not right for a servant to feel like she belongs in the children's life. In the lives of children that are not hers. They have their mother and father. They give them love" Baelor took in her words but he did not believe them. "My son cares for his family. I've seen it" she did not move. "But, he does not care for his wife. And how wife does not care for their "children" at all" the way he said the word children gave her goosebumps. He knew. She knew he knew. "Look at me when I'm talking to you" she immediately looked up.
He saw the eyes first. The eyes of his grandchildren looking back him. Their hair and some of their facial features. She was their mother. "I'm only gonna ask this once. Are you Valarr's mistress?" Elianne looked down in shame. She had no choice. "I am, my prince. But, I did not have a choice" she looked at him with pleading eyes. For Prince Baelor to believe her. He saw the truth in her eyes but, what was done was done. "Does Kiera know?" he asked. Elianne scoffed. "It was her idea" she replied. Prince Baelor sat down, he waved his hand to dismiss her.
The walk to "her" room was quiet. The halls seemed far too quiet for the Red Keep, even at night. Valarr was abed by then but not asleep. He saw her. The look on her face. "What's the matter?" he asked, his voice full of concern.she reached him on the bed. "Your father knows" was all he said and then, he pulled her close. He couldn't loose her. Not her. She had been his strength. The power that kept him going. The woman that gave him the family he had always wanted and now had. And now, it would be crashing down any second. But, Prince Baelor did not call for him that night, or the next. Or the one after. He never did. And with that, her hope to escape her nightmare never came either.
Prince Valarr had a plan. Now that his children were a little older, he had no need for Kiera anymore. Baelon was five. Jaehaerys four. Visenya and Alyssa two. Valarr was now five and twenty. And Elianne eight and ten. He didn't need Kiera now that she had "given" him the children he needed. He had to get rid of her. Once she was out of the way, he could find a way to make Elianne his wife. His queen to be. He knew all he had to do was get rid of his wife. He went to the one person who knew how to help him. Shiera Seastar. Shiera was known for many things, and being involved with dark magic was one of them. Valarr had approached her one night, this was the first time he had seen her in a while. When he approached, she smiled. It was this knowing smile, as if she knew why he was there.
He smiled politely at her. "Lady Shiera" he greeted her. "Prince Valarr" the two stared at each other for a moment. "I am glad to see you, my lady. I have been wanting to speak with you" she nodded as the two began to walk. "What do you need, nephew?" she asked. Valarr looked around before replying. He began to speak in High Valyrian. "I am in need to get rid of someone" Shiera stopped walking as soon as he said those words. "Who?" she asked cautiously. "My wife" he replied. "Why?" she asked. "She could give me no children" was all he said. But that did not sit with Shiera because she knew he had four children. Two sons and two daughters. "What about the children you have?" she asked. "I have what I need. I do not need her anymore. I have other plans for the future of my family" Shiera stares at him. It takes a moment to click that the Valarr she knew years ago was not the same Valarr that was looking at her. This Valarr seemed darker, more calculated, more determined and more deadly.
She looked at him with this intensity that he did not know how to describe. "Are you certain of this?" she asked. Valarr did not hesitate. He said yes immediately. "I want her dead as soon as possible" he added. She nodded. "Very well then. Follow me" the two walked to her private chambers. There she began to mix some herbs, powders, and other items into a bowl. Valarr watched but said nothing. He observed but his mind went to the future he had planned with Elianne and their children. How one day they would rule the Seven Kingdoms together. By the time Valarr came back to reality Shiera was done. "Make sure she drinks this every day. It will be slow, but in a few months, she will be gone. In her sleep. They will never know what hit her. They will think it was her sickness that took her" he nodded and took the small bottles she gave him. "Thank you. If you need anything" she nodded with a smile. "I know," he began, and then walked away. "I knew you were a true Targaryen deep down. You are just like us" he nodded with a happy smile. He was proud of the words she was told. Because in the end, he was as mad as other Targaryens, he was just much better at showing it.
As Shiera instructed, Valarr gave Kiera a few drops of the poison he had been given. He had a trusted maid give it to her on her nightly tea. He smiled at her and acted as before. She thought perhaps he was forgetting about Elianne. But Valarr was smart and was a good performer. He played his part as the dutiful husband when Lady Kiera got sick. He remained by his side, speaking with the maester about the medicine she needed or how much she needed. Everyone thought he was such a good husband. Not many ladies would say their husbands were as attentive as Prince Valarr was with Lady Kiera.
Elianne was at peace, and Prince Valarr was spending his time with his lady wife. He came to see the children when Kiera slept, but he did not stay long. He still kissed her and caressed her face when he could but they did not share a bed. A few months later, Lady Kiera died from her illness. The maesters had no answers to what it was, all they knew was that it worked quickly. Prince Valarr played the mournful widow. He did not cry but he looked sad and devastated. Truth be told, he had everyone fooled, even his father for a moment. Baelor had lost his wife too, he knew grief and sadness more than others.
When Elianne turned nine and twenty, everything changed. Valarr began to buy her nice things. She was no longer allowed to return to the kitchen and other duties. She was ordered to remain by his side and that of his children. To take care of them and no one else. She was not allowed to serve anyone else. He began to dress her in Targaryen colors. Her dresses got better and better as the months came and left. She began to wear jewelry and silk from across the Narrow Sea. Of course, this was in Dragonstone. He had to take her away from the court. He had left King's Landing. Lady Kiera had been gone for a year and Valarr was done pretending. In his time in Dragonstone, he began to search for ways to make Elianne his wife for good. He met a merchant who came from Lys. The merchant knew of my silver-haired Targaryens from Lys. Specifically, one from a good family.
With some money, Valarr told the man to tell the man of said family to write to him. He had a proposition for him. One that would benefit both of them. The merchant did his part. A moon later, the man brought Dhaor. Dhaor was of House Doharys. They were rich and well known in the Free Cities and Lys. The man was tall, with piercing dark purple eyes and silver hair. He was the epitome of a Valyrian man. Valarr welcomed him and showed him around. The two spoke in their Valyrian language. Valarr told him what he wanted to do. What he planned to do. The man agreed, an alliance with the future king of the Seven Kingdoms was a good thing for him and his family.
Dhaor had asked to see the girl. Valarr agreed. He would claimed this was his missing daughter. What Valarr did not know was that Elianne was truly the man's long lost niece. His sister's only child. He saw his sister's eyes staring back at him. "Naerya?" Elianne tilted her head. "Pardon, my lord?" she did not answer to the name but the name did confuse her. "I apologize, my lady's you just remind me a lot of my sister" she nodded, accepting his answer. Dhaor nodded. "But, we have to make it believable. Our family will sent raves and visit as often as we can. To keep appearances" Valarr nodded. He did not care for details just that he was about to be able to show Elianne publicly.
And so, the change for Elianne started. For a whole year she was taught by teachers about court etiquette and all she needed to know about Westeros and its traditions. By the time she was twenty she was a brand new woman. A letter arrived from Lys. Everyone knew about House Doharys. They were known for being rich, having good wine, good crops, medicine and good soldiers. They were also of Valyrian descent. Everyone had thought his sister back then was his daughter as she had been hidden away since she was born. Only her close family and servants knew of her. So, Elianne became Naeyra Doharys. Valarr had returned to court. Happy and healthy along with his children. No one notice the servant was missing. Why would they? She was just another servant to them.
A few weeks later, boats with the Doharys sigils arrived to the port and everyone held their breath. Lord Dorahys was just as the stories had told. His daughter, was a woman out of those story books about Princess and knights. Ethereal. She looked ethereal now. Especially with her silver hair adorned with fine jewelry. She was introduced to court and everyone bought the scheme. She fit right in, without any issues. A proposal was made. Prince Valarr remained quiet, he said nothing. He let the lords, his father and grandfather speak. Instead, he took Elianne, now Naeyra for walks into the gardens or around the Keep. Ronal had seen her a few times. But, she said nothing. Elianne's pleading eyes begged her not to.
Prince Valarr did not waste time. Whenever he had the chance he took her out for a ride, walk, anything. The even spent time with the children. They noticed she was good with them. How could she not? She was their mother, they just had no idea. Everything was just the beginning for her new life.
