I got a book in from the library and read fully half a chapter thinking it was some weird in-media-res flashforward start or a nightmare sequence or something and then I realized I requested the second and third books in the series at the same time right after finishing the first and it turns out the third one came it before the second. So I was fully a book ahead. And so it accidentally was an in-media-res flash forward. Uh oh.
